Had my 12 week appointment today. I gained 1lb the entire first trimester. At this point with my daughter, I gained 10lbs (60lbs total) and with my son, I gained 3 lbs so far (24lbs total). I weigh 126 at 5'3". I have been horrible at tracking my food during this pregnancy, so I am hoping to start keeping better track. The…

I'm 7 weeks with #3 right now. With my 1st I easily gained 10 lbs in the 1st trimester (60 total). With my 2nd I gained about 3 in the first trimester (24 total), but showed much quicker than the 1st. Now this one I haven't gained anything yet. Edited to add - each of my pregnancies were about 2 yrs apart. Being back to…

Hello and congrats to all of you! I am pregnant with #3 and due May 13th. I have a 5 yr old girl and a 2 yr old boy. This pregnancy was a complete surprise, we planned on stopping with the 2, but we are thrilled to being adding one more precious angel. :) I am just getting to the point where I am feeling tired, but I am…

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all of the responses. It makes me feel better that I can continue with most of my routine. I know there will be a point that I have to slow down and my body will tell me. I will definitely do lots of walking...we take a family walk every night already...but I just count walking in my…

I am wondering how she could manage the clean and press over her belly... ;) I know you aren't supposed to be flat on your back after the 4th month. Did she elevate her stepper somehow?

One of my favorite meals - 2oz shredded chicken, 1 whole bell pepper, I stalk of celery, 1/2 apple all mixed with 1 tbsp. of mayo = very filling and only 174 calories!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I am going to do give Stronglifts a shot as it doesn't seem complicated, is free, and it has the Iphone app.

I know that my fear is very very strange. I am seriously afraid of ceiling fans! When I was a kid we had bunk beds and I was on the top bunk. My sister refused to sleep without the ceiling fan and she always got what she wanted - so I ended up getting hit by the ceiling fan almost every night. I do not have a single one in…

I'm right there with you girl! My tummy is the same after 2 sections with almost 10lb babies. I actually think that the smaller I am the worse my tummy looks! I am hoping to get the tummy tuck once we know for sure we are done with having kids. We may have one more. For now, I am just worried about being healthy and…

I have been running for a little over a month. I ran 5 miles for the first time yesterday and my ankle is very sore. Taking a rest today. Interested in the responses.

I have eczema. I have not had a single flare up since removing refined sugar from my diet. I ate only natural sugar for 3 months (raw honey and pure maple syrup, fruit) and it completely cleared up within a few weeks. Now, I only have sugar maybe once a week (dessert) and have no issues. Edited to add: Try California Baby…

I love veggies - celery, spinach, kale, peppers, cauliflower, broccoli - you name it and I love it. (Except beets) I love chocolate. All kinds of chocolate. If I could, I would eat these all day every day. I have to work hard to get my protein.

I am a new runner, but taking it very seriously! I have been running for a little over a month. I completed a 4k on labor day with a time of 23:55 (about 9 1/2 min mile pace) and I am currently doing Hal Higdon's Intermediate 5k program to increase my speed for a 5k I signed up for in October. I ran 5 miles for the first…

I think I eat mostly 'clean' (my version of it anyway) but within IIFYM (I still have some 'junk'). It takes me very, very little time to prepare my food. I actually think it takes me much less time to eat this way compared to how I ate previously. Most of my veggies are raw and it only takes a few seconds of chopping. I…

These threads pain me because I think they can be very confusing to newer people trying to figure out what to do. Yes - you can lose weight eating whatever the heck you want to as long as you have a deficit. It doesn't mean you will get all of the nutrients your body needs and functions best on. This is why there are…

I take the weekly into consideration as well. I eat a total of about 1200-1300 calories on a daily basis and end up netting around 800 or so. This doesn't bother me though because I have one day a week where I eat around maintenance to make up for it.

I am pretty new to the IIFYM method and I find it really works well for me. I eat around 1200 calories a day during the week (I am not suggesting you do this - I am much smaller) and do not eat back my exercise calories - because I tend to have a cheat night a week where I eat more around maintenance. (last night!) I am…

Alive - Anya Tru Magic - B.O.B and for my last song in the race - Move B**** by Ludacris. Makes me laugh and want to pass people. :)

I eat around 1200 most days. I feel very satisfied with what I am eating. My diary is open and you can feel free to add me if you would like. Please note there were a few days over the weekend that I did not log food. I was getting ready for a race and was eating more so didn't bother logging.

I am 5'2" and very active and I maintain right around 1500. If I ate 2,000 I would gain a pound a week!

Cardio has so many more benefits than just burning calories. If I don't get in enough cardio in a week, I am miserable to be around (ask my husband!). I am a recovering cardio addict. It wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I reduced the amount of cardio from 6+ hours a week to 3-3.5 hrs a week and increased my heavy…

Congrats to you! It is an amazing feeling, isn't it! Being petite can be tough - any extra weight really shows!

I moved out at 17. I know grown men in their 30's that still live at home. I think it really depends on the person and their maturity levels and finances. Now as a mom, I wouldn't want my child to move out too early!

Thanks! This looks perfect. :)

It is under Les Mills BODYPUMP. One of my favorite classes! :)

Thanks everyone! You are definitely making me feel better! I wasn't really worried until my friend started freaking me out. I am in pretty good shape - I have been working out 6 days a week for years. I just hate running so I never did it. I like having a goal and running certainly does that, so I have gone out of my…

My favorites are: - 2 hard-boiled egg whites, 2 cups of spinach, 1tbsp chopped onion, handful of cherry tomatoes and 1 tsp olive oil - Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal Cup - 1 egg fried in 1 tsp olive oil topped with slice of ham and cheese w/ side of fruit or veggie - 2 tbsp. peanut butter w/ 1/2 apple or 3 celery stalks These…

I am not in bad shape (intense exercise 6 days a week) but I had the same issue when I started running. I think running just requires a bigger lung capacity than other exercise. For me, it went away quickly, but I would say get checked out by the doctor to be safe, then just build up to it gradually.

I have loose skin and I have never been overweight. I am small and I had two babies that were well over 9lbs. That plus csection = crazy loose skin on my tummy. Maybe one day I will get it taken care of. For now, nothing I can do about it. I would rather be healthy!
