I would log the amount that you used to baste the chicken... in my opinion it is always better to over estimate the calories than under estimate.

Just taking the pill itself does not make you lose weight. It is an appetite suppressant so it helps you not be hungry all the time... when you stop taking the pill, it is just a matter of not going back to bad eating habits. As long as you keep logging your food and stay within your calorie goal you will be fine :)

You really need to eat a minimum of 1200, but more if possible (how many does MFP tell you to eat if you wanted to lose 2lbs a week? then go with that). My advice would be to only eat 1/2 of what you are planning for dinner and use the rest of the calories to eat the rest of the day :)
