  • I don't eat back exercise calories and have had great results. I always over estimate the amount of food I log so that if I measure poorly then it makes up for it. I eat at quite a large deficit all week so I can have one nice meal on Sunday evenings before getting back to it on Monday's. Don't trust the fitbit calories…
  • I love the Cellulor C4. It gives me the tingly sensation and you can take one or two scoops depending on how intense you wanna get. The blue flavor is awesome! I mix some creatine with it and just go to town.
  • I highly, highly suggest that you do a workout before beginning your drive for the day. Being exhausted after work is an age old cause for not working out for many people. With your weight I would begin by simply walking a mile (1/2 mile out, and 1/2 mile back) and working up from there. Your diet will be 95% of your…
  • I've tried everything, and the only thing that works for me is to have a schedule. I used to go to a group workout that does HIIT, where I lost over 100 lbs in about 18 months to join the Army. After that I let myself go a bit (National Guard) and gained some of it back. After playing with different activities I have found…
  • Go for a little walk, then static stretch, then take a nice and long Epsom salt bath
  • You can do interval training with nearly anything. Do 30 seconds of pushups as fast as you can, with good form. Then rest for 60-90 seconds. Then do full situps for 30 seconds, ect ect.
  • I think he was saying that's what FitBit told him he burned which was the cause of his post. I wonder if FitBit calculates TDEE instead of just calories burned while walking though..
  • Thank you! I've been a long time member of MFP, and know the in's and out's, it's just all a matter of discipline for me now which is what I hope to find help with here.
  • HIPPA, no he cant. Actually yes you can. You have every right to call her and talk about your father's diet and the reasons why she put him on it. You can call her and tell her that your father told you what diet she put him on but didn't really have any details and you want her to go over it with you and explain why, what…
  • Of course follow your doctors advice. If it were me, depending on the location of the surgery, I would take up some light yoga for the two weeks to stay limber and keep your muscles active. Doctors advice first though. If you eat at a deficit (Your deficit will be lower since you will not be exercising) you will lose…
  • I like to boil/crockpot it with some enchilada sauce (homemade or canned) and throw in some green chili's, ahh yeah.
  • Foam Roll.
  • If he needs it he can get a profile. PRT is not super intense, and you can still for the most part go at your own pace. Like has been said, he knows his limits. If he passes them, he can get a profile.
  • Fantastic, thanks for the ideas! I just remembered when I saw the link for the green chile stew type thing, and I've tried that as well, but its been a while. Perhaps that will work. I also have never really "glazed" or brined things so I will look for some tips on those! Thanks! Andrew
  • Wanting to join the Army and being 112lbs over weight. I lost it, and got to enlist.
  • Make it cheap. Men will come.
  • Why unfortunately? It works with him, awesome. I lost 90+ lbs without a food scale. I use one now that im within about 10 lbs of my goal. DEATH TO THE SCALES!
  • Tell your recruiter to sign you or you will find a new one. Don't jump through their hoops, make them work for you. You ARE there mission, push them a little and you will be fine. It's how I got my desired MOS. When you go to tape there are things you can do, suck it in a bit, but not enough to where its obvious. Raise…
  • To offer a bit more advice than people completely avoiding your question; You can lose the 10lbs in a month. I did it for the same reason. I have been in for about two years now and know what you are going through. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions. When you say you need to lose 10, is that for…
  • Subway works. McDonalds works. Everything works. Track the calories. "Healthy" and "weightloss" are separate. I lost over 100 lbs and had subway regularly. I gained some back, and am losing again with subway. Another fantastic option is Wendy's chili. Fairly low calorie (180 cal/small), and filling.
  • I'm not sure how you group these together.. If someone is stating they are a specific religion looking for friends of a specific religion, yes that would be divisive as defined by MFP. "One Religion." Now where is the logic that this has anything to do with that? Apples and Oranges. Regardless; love the thread. I had my…
  • This has nothing to do with "One Religion," or any belief in religion. She simply asked for quotes from a book. This is not a "divisive" topic. You do not have to be religious to know a bible verse, or use that verse as motivation.
  • The right mindset. (read: Motivation). For me it was to looky sexy, who doesnt want that. Then it became more real; to enlist in the Army. Now it is to commission as an officer.
  • Look up the Army 4 for the core (4C) workout. It's a very small regiment that you can do before starting light deadlifts, kettlebell (or other item) swings, and such.
  • "Second of all, I can't diet. I can't stick to not eating the whole cake for even 3 minutes. " You can if you want it. I am willing to help anyone every step of the way, but in the end its YOU. If you want to lose the weight bad enough, you will find the determination to do it. It's not easy. It WILL be challenging. You…
  • Peaaaanuttttt Butttteeerrrrrr. This is my number one answer. You didn't get to the point you need to lose weight by having trouble eating enough. Avocado was another good suggestions. Any nut is always good. Also fruit. And Go!
  • going to watch after work
  • Definitely the belly button. I would tear that thing up.
  • As stated, the small chili is the way to go. Love it. A baked potato is a baked potato, wendys does not magically add a billion calories because its wendys.
