Even if you take it down to 1 lb per week you could still loose more than that. It's just an estimate :)

I'm in Regina (Nice to see some SK people on here!!!)

I would DIE if I avoided my 60% whole wheat bread. DIE.

Peanut butter because it's loaded with vitamin E.

Is your goal set to 2 lbs per week? You could change it to 1 lb per week and that will allow you more calories.

Your body will drop fat from wherever it wants to! I lost 2 inches off of my hips and and 1.5 inches off my thighs in the first 4 weeks. I naturally have a smaller lower body in comparison to my upper body. My stubborn zones are triceps and bellehhh, boo.

Awesome link. I seem to fit in all.over.the.place. I can work out with someone or alone (either way I love to push myself really hard); sometimes I plan and other times I wing it; I can be intuitive but once I start breaking things apart I can become very analytical. One thing I've noticed about myself is that I am an…

Are you breastfeeding? If so your calories might be too low and your body may be trying to hang onto your body fat. Maybe it's water weight. Overall, inches matter most (in my opinion!)

When you don't feel like working out JUST DO IT anyway - you will feel soooo much better (and happier) afterwards!

Cereal & milk.

Just going to add something: ladies should NOT be afraid of heavy resistance training. Pre-baby and pre-marriage I was 128 - 132 lbs and 5'8" --- so very lean --- but strong as he!! because I weight trained to exhaustion with heavy weights. Best shape of my life... and I obviously didn't look like the incredible hulk! lol.

~ I just looked up levothyroxine side effects and both hair loss and "unexplained rash" are there. Looks like it's time to make an appointment with my doc. ~

I take levothyroxine (is this the same, just generic?)

It was falling out before MFP. I started my medication way before MFP (about 5 1/2 months ago. I've been on MFP for about 5 1/2 weeks.) I take a prenatal/postpartum multivitamin 3 - 4 times a week.

Building strength, drinking water, eating plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

Thanks everyone! It's amazing to me how I can do so much more than when I started!

I've read that ladies training to failure helps lose the stubborn weight that likes to hang onto our upper arms, tummy and hip areas because it forces a raise in testosterone and HGH yet keeps cortisol levels down, allowing for our female bodies to let go of the fat that accumulates in those trouble areas because of our…

If it means the difference between feeling extra good about yourself and not, then go ahead and poo before weighing yourself! I don't see why people are knocking it, it's not that big of a deal peeps! lol ;-)

You need a resistance (weight training) program!
-
Holy crap! That's amazing!

I BF and eat about 1550 (give or take 100 calories) every day (besides weekends, I tend to go overboard) - but I'm somewhat a special case. I've had a low supply since my son was born 11.5 months ago. I've tried eating lots and lots and I'm now watching what I eat --- my supply is low no matter what (most likely due to my…

Of course they have calories, but what OP was saying is that your body burns that many calories or more when digesting them so at least it evens out (or burns a few extra along the way.)

Before MFP and before having my son I used to do a "modified" calorie count. I never counted fruits or veggies because they're so healthy; but I'd count everything else to make sure I wasn't eating a whopping amount of food. That's all I did and I was very fit and healthy!

Thursdays because my little man's birthday is on a Thursday and I wanted to achieve my first goal by then.
-
This is just awesome :)
-
I've lost 10 since MFP and 14 lbs total. Besides family that knows I'm trying, nobody else has noticed. It'll be nice when others finally start to see it!

This is what I've heard as well.

I'm 5'8". At my fittest pre-baby I was 128 - 132 lbs. When I became pregnant I was 155 lbs. I would have to say that I felt a lot healthier at the first weight mentioned. I began my journey at 194 lbs. I'm now 180 lbs. Ultimately I'd like to get down to 145 lbs and see how I feel then.

That is absolutely amazing, woman!
