Eating 5 - 6 smaller, balanced meals every day (think protein, complex carbs and healthy fats), doing strength training (no. 1) and cardio (no. 2), drinking lots of water, stressing less and getting adequate sleep. That about sums it up.

Thanks so much! :)

For me, when we run out of healthy options in our house early (before grocery day) and have no money to purchase more, I make sure to really watch my portion size.

One word: salt.

I'm not sure about the book, but I followed the 12 superfoods pre-baby when I was at my healthiest (128 - 132 lbs, 5'8", lean, mean and athletic!) A - Almonds and other nuts (with skins intact) Superpowers Builds muscle, reduces cravings Fights Obesity, heart disease, muscle loss, wrinkles, cancer, high blood pressure B -…

I figured this out this week: PLASTIC WRAP. It keeps the air out that causes it to turn brown. It is amazing.

Avocado. I actually expected MORE. lol.

TY! :) I've managed to keep nursing with a constant low supply (at least now I know why - undiagnosed hypothyroidism for the first 6 months.) It takes a lot of work but the benefits outweigh the troubles.

Congrats! That's exciting!

Why would you go back to eating unhealthy, crappy foods? Doesn't eating healthier give you more energy and make your body feel better? Concentrate on that - the weight WILL come off eventually.

I'm very similar to you. What pushes me is the love I have for my family - I want to be the best I can be for my son, my husband and me. I want us to live a long, healthy, happy life. I want to be a great example for my son and teach him how to eat from all the colours of the rainbow and how to be active every day (even if…

I find this very confusing and actually posted a thread about this yesterday (with no replies! lol.) If you are exclusively breastfeeding, the body burns an average of 300 - 500 extra calories per day just from producing milk. Try to eat healthy, balanced meals! You're going to most likely be hungrier because your body is…

Not 100% sure; all I know is that pre-baby (when I was very into eating healthily and fitness) I always fluctuated from 128 - 132 lbs regardless of how great I ate/exercised. So I guess that's a 5 lb range.

Make your "snacks" bigger - for example, instead of just an apple have an apple, yogurt and a slice of whole wheat bread. Then, come your next "meal" you won't be starving so it'll be easier to accept smaller portions of food.

I need to lose over 30 lbs more.

My elliptical = <3 That is all!

We were taught in our Kinesiology classes to do weights first and cardio second to burn more fat :)

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Ya, I yelled it.

I can't live without at least 3 of those foods * dot dot dot *

Shake it off and start over tomorrow! It's not the end of the world!

As for the butt: squats and lunges to build muscle in that area! As for the gut: eating well, cardio and strength training.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when my son turned 6 months (he is now 11 months). In one month I've lost 9.4 lbs by eating smaller, balanced meals (protein and complex carbs, healthy fat) 5 - 6 times a day (this keeps the metabolism going strong) and by working out (full body strength training and cardio.) I'm on…

:: thumbs up ::

My goal was to lose 20 lbs in 2 months - which happens to be almost exactly 10% of my weight. Guess what? I'm right on track :) So I sure hope it's possible!

Speaking of hair, my hair has yet to stop falling out. At this rate I'm going to be bald by Summer.
-
I don't calorie count per se, but keep track of what I eat. I eat five-six small, balanced meals every day (think protein, good carbs and healthy fat) and exercise (strength training and cardio) and drink lots of water. I've lost 9.4 lbs in a month.
-
DO NOT GIVE UP! I was diagnosed with this 6 months after giving birth to my son (he's now 11 months). I've lost 9.4 lbs in a month eating six balanced, small meals every day (including some cheating on weekends) and exercising! You can do it!

J'adore la poutine!

If anyone has anything to add, please do so! I'd like more information on this! TY :)

Oh your right. It's others saying to eat them back.
