The best route is a HRM. MFP & gym machines are going to give you a number that most times is higher. This is a big reason I don't eat back exercise cals. But I've since been using TDEE. Check out iifym.com to calculate yours.

Walk on your breaks. Do wall squats in your office or squats every time you have to use the bathroom. Sitting all day at work doesn't have to mean you are not fit if you are working out and eating well.

I prefer it to lettuce for a salad. Scramble it in with eggs and onion and even add it to stir fry. It's very versatile.

Are you doing more eating out than cooking yourself? Can't beat the protein you get from eggs. Beans/legumes as well.

I'm very open with my daughter who is 14 about my eating, exercise and desire to lose weight. She has at times been brutally honest with me when she's noticed I've gained weight and on the flip side of that when I'm showing progress. I have high bp by genetics. Meal plans and meal prepping help me with staying focused on my eating. For workouts, have you considered running? The Carribean is on my list. Hoping next year the bf and I can take a cruise there. I've never been.

:drinker: ^^^This pretty much sums up why I run. I stopped for awhile after a sciatic nerve issue and recently after coming back to MFP started up again. Lost my endurance and have been using C25K. The last two nights I've been able to run 30+ mins straight. Its a great feeling. Nothing weird about it!!

I'm 5'9 and would really like to get back down to the low 150s. I was nice and lean at that weight. TDEE sooo confuses me. Just ordered a new Polar FT4 and I would really like to be able to use TDEE so I can really make my workouts count. Feel free to add me.

When low carbing I like to make cauliflower rice. I eat that with curry chicken, baked chicken, stir fry...anything I'd normally like to eat with rice. Nice romaine leaves and use for tacos instead of an actual tortilla. Or stuff with tuna or anything else you find yummy. If you like beans I make my own black beans and top…

Rice vinegar, some fresh squeezed lemon juice, a little cayenne pepper and any other seasonings you may like. I usually add a little cajun seasoning as well. I like a little bite to my eats lol.

I'm lost why people say its expensive. Fresh veggies aren't expensive. Besides that I buy bags of frozen boneless skinless chicken breast, a few packs of ground turkey and some fish. I probably save since I'm not piling up on junk food.
