  • Exactly Everyone is different I do great eating between ~1pm - 8pm and then stopping. Then I eat really big during that window. I have "adapted" / "trained" myself to eat during that time, and it works great for me. So diet adherence is the big thing when it comes to eating strategies. What allows you to stick to your…
  • If you lose weight and part of that weight is muscle, then yes, your Energy needs will drop as well. That is why most people on here recommend weight lifting while losing weight. It keeps your energy requirements high. Body fat does not require energy to maintain, it is purely a store of energy. Muscle however does require…
  • I think each person is different based on a whole host of other variables.... Total BF exercise age health etc..... So there is no "Hey this is when your adaptation happens your metabolism slows down" Again, like I said earlier....Your body responds and adapts based on a whole host of variables..... Our bodies are very…
  • Regarding my view of timing.... It is very low on the order of needs. I have done 5 - 6 meals through the day And now for the past two years, I have consumed all my calories in an eight hour window (or less) And based on my goals, bulking or cutting, I have been able to do it by just eating to my numbers. So regarding…
  • Right so it is not "starvation mode" or you damaged your metabolism It is the bodies natural response based on the environment it has been given. It adapted. You will lose weight being in deficit....it may get slower to do so over time, but rest assured given long enough time, your body will continue to drop weight.... You…
  • LOL Starvation mode... I still come back to children in Ethiopia.....obviously they did it wrong. Or people that are anorexic.... Or Christian Bale when he did The Machinist...... The body is a machine, and looks for the most efficient way to do what it can with what it has, while preserving life. As long as you can "fog a…
  • VERY SLOW......that is a body recomp.
  • Hey trying to educate the person. His understanding of the body and nutrition is way off.
  • You are incorrect in this. No starvation mode (see children in Ethiopia) Your metabolism does not shut down unless you are dead. Your body responds to the environment you put it in. Be smart with your nutrition.
  • Yup, xcaly said it. You don't need to do fancy gimmicks with your diet. You just have to eat less than you need to lose weight. As far as muscle goes. Eat adequate protein (about 0.8 gr / lb of body weight, minimum) and lift weights...heavy.
  • Is it good for what specifically? What are you wanting to do? I do a form of it myself, and it benefits me for what I do.....
  • Thanks. Re-comp is slow as hell, that is more like a year long process usually. But you have the mass and size....what I wish I had.
  • 1000 calories is A LOT!!!! Better to just get your diet right, and any calories burnt during exercise be treated as gravy.
  • I think I have about 2 lbs to go for summer..... Then I need to bulk hard come August.....I Need some freaking weight on me.

  • Not gonna happen....unless you get on some gear.
  • You might be surprised. Try it one day, just go talk and be nice....you never know. Guys will be rejected by women, far more than women will be rejected by guys. I assure you of that.

  • aside from any medical conditions.... Overall calories in your day is what is important.....if you are trying to lose weight Not saying one food is good while another is bad....and should be avoided.
  • No such thing as "bad carbs" really...... Your overall calorie intake is what you need to watch.

  • Awesome work and way to stick with it!!
  • Saw this, as part of a HIIT article on a site I visit. Came across this as well https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/at-home-hiit-workout-program-for-fat-loss
  • I don't do my macros based on %'s I do mine based on calculations of my weight and calories goals. So right now I do protein at 1.2 gr / pound of body weight My fat I do at 0.4 gr / pound of body weight. Then the rest of my calories I make up with carbs.

  • Ok, thanks for the clarification. I don't feel I would be much of a benefit for you. I do all my lifting at the gym.... And I don't know enough body weight exercises, or being creative enough in that area..... There are people on here with far more/better knowledge of body weight exercises. I will say I have done P90X…
  • When you say "coach" me.... What are you looking for in this coach? And what kind of "working out" are you referring to?
  • I agree. That is why I would like to see a similar study in which diet was monitored, controlled, tailored, etc.... Because from the read of it, they did weight lifting....which I think is good. But I know it can lead to an increase in appetite.....so the study doesn't reflect any data on consumption.
  • I have yet to see any studies that back that up...in fact most studies say the opposite....unless a person has pre-existing issues. Both of my parents have had multiple kidney stones, and I know don't take in near the amount of protein I do.... So saying protein is bad for the kidneys is rubbish....
