Which is fine, as long as it is within your calorie budget. You make informed choices; that's the point.

I don't restrict carbs per se, but it seems like foods with a lot of carbs (especially processed foods) also have a lot of calories. So when it comes time make choices, I often pick the less carby foods (like, you can eat several cups of strawberries for the same carbs as one cookie.)

I use Endomondo to log my exercise and it posts from Endomondo to MFP but not the other way around. So that might be an option. There's gotta be a setting in one or the other or both that will allow posting in one direction but not the other.

I assume everything is +/- 20%. So I try to stay under my calorie budget by a few hundred calories. If I go over, I try to exercise to get back in. I suppose when I get to maintenance I might try to cut it closer, but right now I'm losing almost a pound every other day. I'm okay with that.

I got through another business trip this week and lost another pound. The difference MFP makes: 1. I do try to eat smaller portions & more salad, even if I'm in a restaurant; and, 2. I make it a point to go out and walk to get some exercise, especially on the days when I know I've eaten a bit too much.
