  • I will be doing Wk4 D3 tonight. Yeah, the 2nd 5 min is a killer. I am doing the program on my treadmill. Really want to get outside but its way too cold and way too much snow/ice for a beginner runner! My goal is to complete the program by spring and then run outside as a "for-real runner!" LOL!
  • Thanks for sharing! I needed that extra motivation today. Great job!!!
  • Thanks for sharing your story! Very motivating!!
  • Great post! So many great points that struck a chord for me. Thank you, I needed that!
  • You and I sound very similar ! I keep thinking about starting the C25K but that's as far as I go! LOL! I will start tomorrow morning, but will definitely need some support and accountability along the way!
  • Hi there, I am a 45 year old Mom of 2 teenagers. Live in Canada, and work full time. I have a good 50lbs to lose and am tired of diets, etc. Just want to be healthy! I do love to exercise, my problem is keeping at it consistently.
  • Hi all, I was doing so well over the summer but routines changed when I went back to work in the fall, kids went back to school, ya da ya da ya da, and alas, fell off the wagon. I need to lose around 50lbs. I have my work cut out for me and really need help staying on track.
  • Hi there, I would like to join. I need accountability to get started again to keep at it. User name: rockstar53

  • I have been on mfp for just over a month now. I have been exercising minimum 5 days a week and going strong. This may not seem like a long time but for me to have stuck with it is great! Since I started, there has been many changes in my day to day schedule...work, kids school and activities, weekends out of town...these…
  • That is terrific! You are my inspiration! I needed some extra motivation today and now I got it!! Thank you for sharing your story!!
  • That is terrific! I realize it is such a long, hard process to lose the weight that has taken years to put on. I too have blinders as to how I look, and I absolutely hate getting pictures of me taken! I am inspired by your story...eating right and exercising is the key. I have friends who have jumped on the liquid type…
  • I only took my waist measurement and decided to wait the end of each phase to measure. I really haven't stepped on scale consistently either. For now, I am focusing more on eating healthy and getting into a routine of exercising for more than two or three weeks then falling off the wagon!
  • I play guitar. Was a lifelong dream...took lessons at age 39 and have been playing ever since. Absolutely love it and encourage everyone to try something new...no matter what age! So proud of myself for that.
  • I need some positive motivation and encouragement to keep going as well. I'm relatively new to this site and haven't figured out the friends part, so go ahead and add me!
  • Did Phase 1 wk 3 this morning. OMG!! LOL, glad I did it in the comfort of my own home with no one watching!! Wasn't too graceful on many of those moves! Anyway, can't wait to see how many real pushups I can do by the end of this as well as many of the other exercises!
  • Starting Phase 1 , week 3 tomorrow. I did an extra week of 1/2 last week as I missed some days due to a girls getaway wknd! Looking forward to something new!! Was biking outside for extra cardio, but the weather didn't co-operate this past week. Does anyone know of any good indoor cycling programs?
  • Good morning! Today is going to be very busy after work...I will be in the car for about 3 hours with the driving and pickups to this and that with kidlets. So, I woke up early and did my workout (Jillian Michaels Body Revolution) and then prepared a slow cooker meal. Figured it would be much better than grabbing a bite on…
  • I'm with you!! I too lost my Dad a couple of years ago, followed by a very close friend. I turned to food and put on the pounds. I have been on here for about a month now. Losing very slowly but changing how I eat and exercising daily. I just want to be healthy and feel good about myself. I'm in it for the long haul. Love…
  • I am on Day 9 and so far so good! I am really good at starting a program, but by the 3 week mark, I am bored and looking for something new. I love the variety of this program so I'm hoping to stick with it. By joining this group, I now have accountability!!

  • I am happy to find this post!! Pretty much fell in love with cycling again after many years. I am up to 16km rides 2x's a week, with shorter rides in between. I am from canada and hoping to continue biking for at least another month, maybe 2 before the snow hits! My goal is to keep improving and going for as many rides as…
  • Used every excuse in the book to get out of going for a swim at the cabin this summer... all because I did not want to wear a bathing suit in public. Making those excuses made me realize that not only was I lying to myself about my weight gain, but now to others as well. And that is just wrong. Also, I'm only 45 years old,…
