dont increase the amount you lift from day to day rapidly, make slow and steady increases, concentrate on correct form so u dont hurt yourself, do warmup sets, and stretch before or after or both
-
lifting helps your running by strengthening legs, back, abs, hips, core, etc in ways that running alone doesnt

I was just discussing a 25 lb vest with somebody who is a way, way better runner than me, and he says dont do it, its too much of a pounding strain on knees, back, etc. FWIW.

When ur at work, u mostly do the same motion over and over = lifting boxes. When u go to the gym there are 20 different machines and exercizes u can do, so u exercize many more muscles than u do at work. (yeah I know there are hundreds of exercizes, but i do at least 20)

ah yes, universal soreness!

Yes, your stomach will shrink, it may take 6 months, but it will. And if you go over in calories, compensate with more exercises you enjoy!

when your hungry eat lower calorie stuff - its hard to gain much weight eating fruit - any fruit has like 50 cal each, compared to 150-250 calories for a cookie or soda pop.

about smoking, quitting is NOT the only valid goal. smoking less is a good goal, it is harm reduction. u gotta ask yourself after you smoke, do u really really enjoy that smoke? or are u smoking due to nervousness or boredom or your peers and boyfriends and friends smoking? i'l bet just smoking less - for example half-…

Im not sure its realistic to count calories for years. Just weight yourself once a week or so and if your weight gets outside your desired range (for ex, plus or minus 2 lbs) make slight adjustments in exercize or food portion size.

I was thinking about this while doing my morning run. QFT!

Yes, u can hurt your knees or w/e running. Or u can learn 2 do it right and carefully. Outside in the fresh air, saying g'morning to people, watching the sun rise or set, watching the scenery change. So if ur gonna run, learn how 2 do it right.

yes the recommended daily amount is 5 mg, however.....wikipedia says "Toxicity of pantothenic acid is unlikely. In fact, no Tolerable Upper Level Intake (UL) has been established for the vitamin.[17] Large doses of the vitamin, when ingested, have no reported side effects and massive doses (e.g., 10 g/day) may only yield…

After your at maintenance weight for awhile, your stomach shrinks, your new behavior becomes a habit you dont even have to think about, you get used to eating smaller, healthier portions of stuff, and counting calories isnt really necessary. Exercise daily....it just becomes second nature, a new you just like the old you,…

fruit. almost all fruits have about 50 calories each, compared to 150 or 250 calories for a Coke or a Cookie.

Excellent advice from someone who speaks from Experience. I agree 1000% You must be pro-active in this, do nothing enables the situation to escalate. Someone smart once said, things start small, escalate gradually, then suddenly they accelerate, and spin out of control. Dont let this get worse and spin out of control.
