I would eat healthy wholesome foods and stay away from refined sugar, flour, junk foods. I follow a low carb (Atkins) diet and have lost 36 pounds since June of 2014, and have not lost any muscle in the process. I swim for exercise.

Just want to tell you, how amazing you are, by taking action to change your predicament. This shows how anyone, that is willing to change, can make it happen. Bravo!

Good advice, for me eating unprocessed foods makes me feel great and losing weight is a bonus. Exercise is the frosting on my vegetables and protein. :)

I do not need any MEAN help to lose weight. It is not appreciated and therefore stop saying you are helping us, you are NOT!
-
You are one of these condescending, know it all type of people that does not get it. You quoted my comment and started to attack me, because it makes you feel better to be MEAN.
-
The pose has dissented on the post to prove hour rude they can be :)
-
My point is that it is NEVER ok to be rude and mean. It you are one of those people, then you need to think about what you are doing. You should give your opinion without been rude and condescending.
-
I feel sorry for people that need to do this to make themselves feel better.
-
This comment only proves my point.
-
I love the way rude, mean people justify their behaviors. There is no justifiable reason why you have to be rude and mean, in my opinion.
-
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you :)

I get my books at the library and if I like them, then I purchase them for my library.

What I believe is the problem is : 1. You are insulin resistant. 2. You are trigging cortisol release. 3. The macros are off. I recommend in getting the macros in a healthy range and keeping your calories where you have them.
-
I believe that the best approach is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Your diet should include enough protein to avoid muscle loss. Restrict junk, since they give you no nutritional value and they also raise your blood sugar in an unhealthy levels.

I'm another "special little snowflake." :) :)
-
You are doing great and look great. You should be very proud of your accomplishment.

I had a complete hysterectomy at 38yrs. old and my metabolism is pretty low. I had to reduce my food lower then recommended to see any weight loss and I do 20g of carbs and exercise one hour daily. I also take a multi vitamin. It is difficult to lose weight, but being persistent is paying off.

Ignore the remark and carry on. It's not what he thinks, but what you know to be true. Being reactive, is not always the right thing to do.

Health, is the biggest reward. Congratulations!

I agree with you 100%. The data shows that we need healthy carbs. Diabetes is rampant and you can be thin and have it.
-
My advice is eat your carbs in healthy foods, like complex carbs and up your protein a bit on your heavy weight day.

Move on your opinion about signature is wrong. I started on June 2, 2014 and you need to stop with your attitude.

No one in promoting VLCD, I just responded to a thread of CICO. I don't care about your opinion!
