90 minute martial art class.

Sometimes it's taking the family favorites and making them a little healthier....use lower sodium broth, low sodium canned food if you have to use canned. We use ground turkey instead of ground beef for spaghetti and tacos. For spaghetti we have switched to whole wheat pasta. Like other have said, have a smaller serving of…

Finally remembered to bookmark this discussion so I'm not searching for it for 30 minutes. Did 2 martial arts classes this week...and I'm so sore! I usually have choir rehearsal on Wednesday evenings, but there wasn't one due to the holidays so I decided to do an extra martial arts class. 🙃 Went to the grocery store and…

I do protein smoothies on the mornings I work....never tried the cottage cheese because I don't like the texture either. I use frozen fruit (my local grocery store has a line called blendables with different fruit and veggie combinations that you can use for smoothies), unsweetened vanilla almond milk, vanilla greek yogurt…

75 minute martial arts class...its core week, so we did a lot of crunches too.

Hello! I'm Kelli. I'm 47 and want to get back on my health journey after the holidays. First goal is to lose the 6 lbs I gained back during the holidays. Also be better with my water intake. I do 2 martial arts classes a week (about 60 to 90 minutes long) and plan to add 1 more day of exercise at home. Jan. 1 - 260.6 Jan.…

SW: 279 CW: 276.6 GW: 175 (for now) My July goals: 1. Keep up with the DASH diet...doing good so far and haven't had a soda in 5 days 2.…

Flavored sparkling water...but only the ones from the HEB (grocery store in Texas). I've tried others and they have a wierd taste. Also the HEB brand Diet Green Tea with Gensing. Try to atay away from diet sodas...but will have a diet Mountian Dew or Root beer on occasion.

Tomato slices with sugar on them. Don't get to try really exotic foods too often...I live in a house where they think cream cheese or yogurt is gross. Trying to get my family to try new things is hard.

I'm in the same boat. Trying to figure out some healthy alternatives to the "healthy" tv dinners for lunch at work....I work 12 to 16 hr shifts so by the time I get home I'm beat. Some other ideas I've done are.... Salad with the P3 things of cubed meat and cheese and some salad dressing, yogurt and fruit on the side.…

I'm a member of the Sears Shop your way club and sometimes they give me bonus points to shop with. Use the bonus points and shop online and hit the clearance specials. Also have had success with the yoga pants from Dollar General. But for my martial arts class I have to buy my uniforms from there....not cheap!

I love the Dollar Tree, I get my Stevia packets there for way less than the grocery store. Look at the weekly shopping ads and plan your menu around what is on sale. Whatever fruits and veggies that are in season will have lower prices or be on sale. When green peppers are on sale I stock up and chop them up and freeze…

I track fiber instead of sugar. Have IBS so need to keep my fiber intake up.
-
I can't either....my blood sugar would go low and I would start feeling bad and shakey. I leave for work early so I pack a breakfast to take with me to work. On my days off I most always eat breakfast....if I don't have time in the morning I'll have a Carnation Instant breakfast shake (not the best thing, but better than…

I like the sandwich thins...use them for breakfast sandwiches too (1 scrambled egg, 1 chopped up veggie sausage breakfast pattie on the toasted sandwich thin bread...yum!)

I have about 100 lbs to lose. I'm 38 yo mom with 4 kids, I work fulltime as a nurse and also have a home business, so I am pretty busy. Right now my goal is to lose at least 50 lbs by August. Planning on taking a cruise with my hubby for our 20th Anniversary and want to be a few dress sizes smaller by then. I've done diets…

I like smoothies too, but with the cold weather I haven't been making them. Rather have something warm on cold mornings! My top 2 favorite to make are both chocolate ones :) Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana 1 C Dark Chocolate Almond Milk Ice (at your discretion) 1/2 banana, sliced (freeze the banana for a thicker…

Nutty Bars......would buy one box for the kids and another for me and hide it in my room so they couldn't get mine. Anything chocolate and peanut butter....peanut butter by itself I will eat only occasionally, but add chocolate to it. I can't help myself! Diet soda...only allowing myself to have one soda a week (if that).…
