  • 5'5" SW 238 (17 stone) - Size 22 (I was kidding myself I could get into 20's...) CW 224 (16 stone) - Size 20 (although Primark clothes are appallingly irregular sized. And I can get into M&S 18's, if they're not too fitted) GW 168 (12 stone) - I used to get into size 16's (just) at that weight. Here's hoping it's still the…
  • Congrats! That's fantastic progress!
  • Mmmm. Eggs. I had a bit of an unhealthy relationship with them when younger - my Grandmother was adamant that more than 2 a week "bound" you, so I was always craving them. Nowadays I eat 2 a day or so. Scrambled during the week (from the work canteen) and in omelettes at the weekend. I love boiled eggs as well - we…
  • Urgh - just looked at the buzzfeed list. What's the obsession with sweet, fried food with meat at the moment? The mac'n'cheese burger was probably closest to my favourite comfort food - homemade macaroni cheese with bacon, leek and mushrooms. Using a cheddar and onion cheese in the sauce and topping it with parmesan cheese…
  • None lost this week - still at dead on 227lb. TOM, unfortunately, that put 2lb on at the end of last week. Not sure if there's any more water weight to come off, now I'm finishing. Plus a couple of naughty days which will have slowed my progress somewhat. But am still hopeful for another lb next week!
  • DHMO is truly awful stuff. It's found in cancer cells. Both the solid and the gaseous forms can cause terrible burns. For Goodness Sakes's hydric acid (as it's also known) is used in industry as a solvent! And many folk drink and cook with this stuff without thinking about it. *shakes head* :drinker:
  • What a fantastic thread! Get into a dress that I last wore in 2008. And it's loose on me! Walk three miles without a break in the middle to get my breath back.
  • Oh dear... Let's see. Cambridge diet, Slimfast. Generic 80's 1000 calories a day diet. Urgh. Favourite dumb diet though was the Guinness and Burger King milkshake diet, when I was at Uni. This wasn't planned, but was insanely busy with my final year, working part time and running a small student union. I wouldn't have time…
  • Okay, I'm in for this. SW: 238 CW: 227 GW: 222 Favourite autumn exercise? I love walking. Hoping to get some outdoor pond swimming in before it gets too cold. H
  • Yeah.... Caught myself cheating a little logging this morning. But this thread has inspired me to go and correct it. I should be logging even the bad days.
  • adiostrasero, ryry62685, (and others who commented) Actually, far from hijacking the thread, it's been an education watching your discussion. So thank you - I've now got some more tips for if/when I start to plateau. H
  • *raises hand* Big HH fan here. Love Stupid Deaths, and the songs, and Henry VIII, and The Hale Report, and... well, everything really! (My wife still thinks that Matt Bayton's lip-biting during the 4 Georges song was Too Hot for TV!)
  • I don't run (yet), but if you ever run in St James's Park on a lunch time, wave to me (walking, slowly) as you speed past! H
  • I live in London (nearly 20 years now!), but i'm originally from North East Lincolnshire.
  • Long time CAMRA member here. I love a good pint of Old Perculier, as well as light summer ales. I live in London and was at the Great British Beer Festival a couple of weeks ago. Doing such a festival on a diet was tough, but with the judicious application of walking to and from the venue, I was able to stay on track…
  • Hi, have just joined the group. I've been weighing in on Wednesdays for a month now. SW: 238lbs As of this morning, current weight is 227.2lbs. I've lost a bit too fast in the last couple of weeks - I'm thinking it's water weight (I didn't lose any extra at the beginning), but am going to keep an eye on it.
