  • On vacation we don't eat as well and we don't drink as much water. Sweetie be glad it was only 3 pounds. It'll be gone in a couple of days.
  • If you can do it, go for it. I did a boot camp work out with a cold and found the work out actually cleared my nose and lungs. The workout made me feel better. I know running does that to. If I have a stomach virus, working out is probably not a great idea because I don't want to get dehydrated.
  • I dropped about 11 pounds my first month on here. Just make sure you're eating enough. Eat the recommended calories and eat your exercise calories. Eating and exercising works to rev up your metabolism.
  • My maintenance is 1600 cals a day. If I ate as you're suggesting, I would gain weight. I eat 1400 a day to lose 1/2 a pound a week, but may eat as much as 1700 cals in a day if I've exercised hard that day.
  • We all start somewhere. When I started Couch to 5 K last year, I couldn't run a minute without gasping for breath. Now I can run for half an hour. Just keep working it. Watch your knees though. If your knees are hurting, there might be something wrong with your positioning.
  • I could never eat just one. :( I love food!
  • I learned a long time ago that I can't deny myself for very long. The cheat meal (I never do a whole day) doesn't even slow down my weight loss and it keeps me motivated for the whole week. This is supposed to be a lifestyle not a diet. My lifestyle requires sweets and greasy stuff every now and then. :)
  • I think it's another scam. I think it's really sad that so much money is made on people who're desperate to take off weight quickly. I want to know how many people gain the weight back after spending all that money on HCG.
  • Peanut butter and milk are good for getting calories in.
  • I've recently started logging my cheats. Sometimes I'm surprised at how little I actually went over. I've been keeping track of it and doing a crazy amount of exercise to make it up. I do spread it over a few days though cuz I don't want to be completely exhausted.
  • Are they sure it was cuz it was diet soda that he had a heart attack? That sound like an awful lot of caffeine to me. I limit my intake to 1 or 2 per day.
  • My friend from Liverpool used to always say he was pissed. I told him he didn't sound very angry to me. Took a few times for me to realize he was talking about drinking.
  • One of my friend who's a marathon runner tried to tell me about diet soda the other day. I told her I know it's bad but I love it. :)
  • If you're setting your lifestyle to active, make sure you're not putting regular life activities as exercise. You could possibly set your lifestyle to lightly active and then log the exercise. I'm a teacher. I'm on my feet and walking around all day long. I have mine set to lightly active and log the exercise I set out to…
  • I think you're either exercising too much or eating too little.
  • Peanut butter is great before a run. It gives your muscles enough fuel to keep going. I only eat if I'm going to work out really strenuously. I don't have to eat before Zumba class.
  • You are gorgeous! Good work.
  • I got the eating and exercise down before I quit smoking. I think maybe you're trying to do too much all at once. Maybe you should concentrate on the stop smoking thing first but set your weight goals to maintenance. Log your food and start exercising at least 3-4 days a week. The exercise helps with the stress part of…
  • Depends on the kid. My oldest was pretty responsible so I left her alone at maybe 10 or 11. My younger one was older. I had to feel certain he wouldn't burn the house down before I left him.
  • Lol. I always called myself fluffy or soft. :) The other day a kid touched my arm around my bicep area and said "Wow you have strong muscles." My arm looks the same to me but I guess it feels hard. *shrugs*
  • Lucky girl! I wish you luck on getting into bikini shape. :)
  • Now that I think about it though. We only ate out once a week and mom didn't buy soda for the kids. Maybe that's why I was thin?
  • IBS causes this problem for me. The good news is as soon as I "clear my system out" I can lose 3-4 pounds lol. I also might show more weight if my sodium has been unusually high.
  • I was one of those skinny kids. I could eat eggs, bacon, and toast for breakfast, a sandwich and chips or school food for lunch, and mom made fried chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies for dinner several times a week. I guess I was active enough that I didn't gain with that diet. The problem was that I was used to…
  • Your legs are really skinny. What kind of exercise do you do for them?
  • Eating bulky foods can make you weigh more at first. When your body gets used to them, that's not the case. I like my veggies because I can eat more and feel full longer. It didn't keep me from losing weight in the long run.
  • I love it too. I only do it once a week because I'm doing plyometrics and weights most days but Zumba is the thing I do for fun. I do it every Saturday morning.
  • I will say it's ok if someone messes up one day. I have always had a cheat meal. It keeps me motivated all week if I know I can have something a little extra once a week. There is no excuse for just deciding your gonna eat what you want to all the time. I do kinda get irritated with people who complain about not losing…
  • I discovered a health benefit that I had no idea about. I haven't been sleeping much this week and I've worked long hours, yet I don't feel as exhausted as I used to. I think the poisons in the cigarettes might have been the actual reason I was so exhausted all the time.
