My ideal first date is at a pub with decent food and atmosphere, where you can talk. If there's something interesting on the tv (UFC, hockey, or whatever), even better!

and adding to that- doesn't wear his pants too high... high waisted jeans with polo/golf shirt tucked in was not a good look. And if 'comfy clothes' includes sweatpants, that might also be a factor.

if it's fat, might have to wait til it comes off that area with general weight loss. When I had lost about 8 lbs, I noticed that my shirts were fitting better, and have noticed it again since i started 30 day shred. I wasn't doing any specific exercises, I just seem to lose extra flesh there first. And in my boobs, too,…

I'm reading a Game of Thrones as well. Also in the midst of Tolkein's Two Towers, and Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn. I'm another big fantasy fan.

Great job! such an inspiration!

i bought a single caramel one at the store... ate it.... moaned for a while... then looked at nutritional information... cried for a while... Yes, they are that good, but waaaaaaay too bad for regular indulgence- for me, anyway. I'm thinking for fantastic news or celebration.

LOL! Awesome, I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that...
-
LOL no, you aren't alone- I like to clean bathrooms too. I absolutely hate washing dishes, particularly cutlery. Mainly because it makes my hands cramp up. Drying is fine, just hate washing.

snap peas and/or baby carrots! or red pepper strips. something crunchy.

I've known a few people who swear by tea tree oil. Said it worked better than anything else they'd tried (including prescriptions to treat it)

I should clarify... we also were consulting lists of high/moderate/low potassium general food items from a kidney clinic and dieticians.
-
Are your clothes fitting any differently? That's what i noticed first.

My mother recently had to go on a low potassium diet, so we went out shopping for a quick lesson in label reading. A lot of products don't list potassium content. I'm not sure if this is because the amount of potassium is negligible, or the manufacturers are just not required to list it. Anyone know? We were working on the…

LOL that's great. I'm sure if/when I have kids I'll be thinking the same. Not sure what to recommend, but had to comment on the awesome plans! All the best with your pregnancy and journey to better health! :)

You can add extra exercise to make up for it. I like to do small portions, and very small bites, and chew them for a while. But I find that if I get the taste of what i'm craving, i don't need to binge on it. Can also substitute. Eg. If you want cake, try a slice of angel food cake or bar, with a small amount of 95% fat…

yeah, i skipped the "hello" thing too... but welcome! :) All the best in your journey!

This is what i'm going with, and measuring by clothes fitting. Probably will hit scale, and if it's 5-7 off, I'll start upping my activity or cutting some calories until it rectifies

You can make better choices, too... Light beer, or vodka and soda, or some other low calorie mix with the alcohol. Vodka is about 67-70 calories per oz., and soda water is negligible. Or tomato juice? 30 cal per 5.5 oz. I do a caesar (clamato juice and vodka) or a light beer. Or double fist with a water... just refill the…

Good thread! I just started 30DS too, and was debating starting the C25K at the same time. It's interesting to see other people's take on adding extra workouts to 30DS. Food for thought!
-
Any of you can feel free to add me, I started with about 102 to lose, and have lost 11 so far. Going kinda slow, but want to get into a routine and habit I can maintain after it's all lost. I'm gonna be here for a while! But more than happy to offer support, and look for it now and then myself. cheers! kat :)

wait til tomorrow before you say you've got no pain... everyone i know either gets the sore muscles the next day, or two days after a workout. maybe you're a two day person. Or maybe you just won't be sore, which would be great!

That sucks that you can't take another one.. I had a bad sinus infection, and the antibiotics I got gave me the worst nausea- to the point that I couldn't function, I felt so bad all I could do was cry. Luckily they were able to give me some others, but I can sympathize. Hope things get better soon!

I don't know... am interested in the answer though, so am bumping this to check back later for replies... Hopefully someone has some insight.

Can I join too? Did it once last weekend, and took a few days to get over the soreness... So starting the whole 30 days tonight! Will take measurements and post them before i start.
-
I will be starting it today, too. Please feel free to add me if you'd like. Cheers, and good luck with the shred!!

1. 35 2. hour-glass... though time's running out! I mean there's more sand in the butt, hips and thighs. 3. I've mainly just started eating better, and have lost 11 lbs, mainly in my upper body and chest, with a bit in my thighs and butt. Starting to crank up the exercise, though, really get things into gear.
-
That's awesome, you're looking great!! I just started the 30 day shred... I did it once last weekend, and i swear i had boot prints on my butt for a week! But started again tonight, and going to get through it!

that's what I got. So, your 225 g of cooked pasta works out to 101.25 g dry, which is 1.35 servings of 75g dry pasta. so... 357.75 cal in the 225g of cooked pasta. Let me know if i missed on that one.

I just got the Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred (about 10$ at chapters) and did it once. I like it, and it kicked my *kitten*!! Starting it for the 30 days tonight or tomorrow (have an appointment which might go long tonight). I did get 3lb and 5 lb hand weights to use with it, for... i think 6$ or so for the 3's and 10$ for…
