Glad to see it wasn't completely overlooked.

Comparison is the thief of joy. Just because someone lost more than you doesn't mean that you are doing something wrong.
-
With only a 190 calorie difference between the two calorie goals, you aren't going to lose 2 pounds a week on 1200 calories. You are losing which means you are going in the right direction. Sometimes we just need to adjust our expectations.

How long have you been eating so little? I would be miserable living off of shakes.

I'm just looking forward to spending the evening with Rick Grimes again.

My face. I have a pretty chubby face and that is where I always seem to lose first. It took me about 15 pounds and putting pics side by side to really notice it. Don't get discouraged if you haven't noticed yet, especially since you are just getting started. It's going to take some time but it is definitely worth the wait.…

I think sites/apps like MFP have a lot to do with it as well. Why pay a lot of money for something that you can get for free elsewhere?

I guess she needs to read the articles in her own magazine then. I seen on the cover there is an article in there on how to choose a properly fitting bra.

The only good thing about Dr. Oz is that because of his senate hearings I found out about John Oliver. Why is it that when someone calls out Oz for what he is that makes them a hater?

The problem with doing this is that you don't know what ingredients they used or how big their serving size was. Those two things can really throw things off. It's times like that when the recipe builder and saving things as meals comes in real handy. You only have to enter them in one time and they are saved under those…

No need for a cleanse. Your liver and kidneys do the job just fine and you don't have to pay them. If you are having a hard time with 1200 then adjust your weekly weight loss goal. Try setting it to 1.5 or 1 pound a week. That will give you more calories. The important thing is to have a sustainable goal. Read the…

You are using a lot of generic & homemade entries and most of your portions are logged in cups/spoons. If you are weighing them, log the weight in grams. This post will give you a good rundown on how to log accurately on here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1234699/logging-accurately-step-by-step-guide/p1…

Same here, and that was in 2013. I noticed her on here shortly after I switched to MFP the same year. Some people just do a really good job of standing out.
-
#7 should have been a lot more clearer that there are different calorie minimums for men. Since the 'article' mentioned MFP I wonder how many new users are going to come believing some of the misinformation and spouting it off as truth.
-
For most people it isn't. I think what people (and myself) are referring to is the amount of time and effort spent asking for help only to make elaborate posts full of excuses. This isn't just going on here on MFP but multiple sites/social media platforms and has been going on like this for years. I believe that it has…

I bet if you used a food scale and accurate food entries you would find that you may be eating more than you think. I suggest working on accuracy as well as getting more food in. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1234699/logging-accurately-step-by-step-guide/p1

That's not true. Plenty of people tone up every day...

I have a cupboard shelf set aside for my boyfriend's snacks. All of his chips and cookies go on the higher shelf. This way it's out of sight and when I do have to open it (I keep my measuring cups and vitamins on the lower shelf) his goodies are not at eye level and I really don't think of what is in there unless I need to…

Everyone who has said that determination is more important than motivation is right. While motivation is great, it's determination and discipline that is doing to get you to the gym when you are feeling lazy. Think of it like work. You wouldn't skip those just because you were feeling lazy.

1300-1400 probably isn't doing as much damage as you think. I'm willing to bet that you are still in a pretty decent deficit at that amount. Are you weighing daily and finding these gains frustrating? If so it might be a good idea to use an app that shows the overall picture instead of just focusing on an individual weigh…

I find another outlet for my stress. I'll exercise, take my dogs for a walk, clean my house, or crochet (this helps with boredom too). I still have moments when I slip but knowing that I am a stress eater helps me recognize it and put a stop to it before it gets out of control.

I think she's looking more at having a common interest in health and fitness with a partner, not that she is being judged on her looks.

I had a chocolate one this morning. Worth every calorie.
-
It might be a good idea to reevaluate your goals then. Depending on what your calorie goal is it might be unsustainable for you.
-
Motrin and water. ;) Seriously though go to the doc and be open and honest to make sure that they are able to help. I hope you are able to get answers and a solution.
-
What weekly weight loss goal did you choose? You will probably get more calories choosing 1 pound a week.

Of all the ones to slam, Jennifer shouldn't have been one of them. The ones with the woo were the ones that were booted early on. I didn't listen to it but now I know not to waste my time.

I'm genuinely curious OP, is weight loss the only part of your life where there is so much unnecessary stress, excuses for everything, and lack of taking personal responsibility? I think at this point people are suggesting counselling for reasons other than an eating disorder. This doesn't mean you need to be hospitalized…

I find that using a scale gives me more flexibility with my portion sizes. Not everything has to be an exact measurement and it's easier to figure it out when logging. Bonus points for not having a sink full of measuring cups & spoons at the end of the day.

Weighing it cooked shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure that the entry that you use reflects that. That's where people tend to get in trouble.
