Get a cookbook for college students. I bought one for a friend and it had all sorts of quick and simple recipes. And in the beginning was stuff like, how to make rice, different kitchen tools you should have, what is the meaning of slice/dice/chop/mince, how to pick out fresh produce, etc Once a month or so we hang out and…

Turnips, rutabaga, parsnips, root vegetables are awesome :) I like to use roasted squash puree to make soups creamier instead of mashed potatoes or butter/dairy. AND *gasp* cauliflower works pretty well too. Just be careful with any drastic increase in fiber consumption. It can cause a bit of digestive distress :P

Greek yogurt! I like plain nonfat, mixed with cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and stevia. Tastes great on its own or with strawberries. If I don't eat before bed, I will wake up in the middle of the night totally ravenous. Since I'm not properly awake, my brain doesn't remember to have restraint and I will often eat entire…

You could try keeping a food log where you just write the amounts you eat for a while. Such as "1 large scoop of rice, 2 spoons of soy sauce" without the exact measurements and calories. That way you are still mindful about your eating without all the work. And you would be less likely to eat a huge piece of chocolate cake…

Banana bread oatmeal! 1/2 cup old fashioned oats 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 tbsp ground flax seed 1/2 mashed banana 1 tsp vanilla extract stevia to taste 1 tbsp chopped walnuts (optional)

Get a part time job and use some money to buy fruits and vegetables. Save the rest of the money to move out. Self control is hard, I like to use visual reminders. Hang a poster in your room of someone with a fit body that you admire. How can you eat ice cream in the same room with a six pack? (haha) Write a list of healthy…

You need to wait longer than two days... Try weighing yourself once a week. After a month or two with no change, then you can re-evaluate your diet/exercise strategy. Also you need to eat more. Please read this thread~ http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants And…

Black beans with salsa is my favorite. Top with avocado slices if you have extra cals. Make a burrito or just eat plain. Or eat with quinoa or brown rice. Also goes great on a sweet potato :)

Don't eat it. Have some carrot sticks or an apple instead if I have to eat. I'm likely just bored and want something to crunch on. However, I don't get cravings for specific foods. Never have. I'm just craving the act of putting something in my mouth, chewing, etc

The only thing about too many veggies is that if you add them all of a sudden, your body isn't used to all of the fiber and you will likely have a lot of gas. This is temporary though, and will go away on its own. Or if you add them slowly, like one cup more each week, then your body will adjust.

Whatever you want :flowerforyou: Just eat half of the entree and save the rest for tomorrow's lunch! And try to go easy on the bottomless chips :P

I think that it IS a miracle cure you don't have to give up any of your favorite foods to lose weight. If I never got to have bread, chocolate, wine, again for the rest of my life... I'd rather be fat! HAHA Anyway, I gave up emotional eating. I'm an emotional shopper now! My wardrobe is pretty great :P

Try adding more weight training to your exercise plan. Many people have great results with lifting heavy. Otherwise just be patient, keep up the calorie deficit, and they'll come off eventually. :)

...duh. Is there really any other reason to lose weight? (I mean vanity pounds, I suppose. Once you're in the healthy range, the only reason to keep losing is to get more attractive.)
