  • Mine isn't public, just because I don't share much information with just every ole body in the "public." But it is open to my friends. It does keep me more accountable and more conscious of some decisions I make. But, like most things, everyone is different. Do what works for you
  • Awesome, Jules!! Can't wait to see the new photo ;)
  • Word :drinker: People who lose weight because they are fat phobic aren't going to be happy at any size. Healthy living is what I'm going for. My mental health is part of that, which is why I avoid friends who pass off judgement as compassion. Not sure it makes much sense to criticize someone to encourage them to do better…
  • ^This.
  • Rock on! Congratulations!! Me too...I was so excited I logged it even though today isn't my "weigh day." Keep it up!!
  • Which is why it is good practice to eat whole foods, since most of these vitamins are not present in processed foods. If they are, there is often a lack of some necessary component to help the body process. Hard to find health in a box, unless that is how you carry your fruit and veggies around  Thanks for the post,…
  • I can relate. I have been struggling with this for as long as I can remember. It comes and goes and my weight goes up and down and up up and down and up up up and down :grumble: Much better lately, with only mild 'relapses' a couple times a month. As long as I don't go much over 2000 calories for the day on those…
  • Did the same yesterday. Could've been worse, but damn.... Water is good and cutting out sodium for a few days to levelize my water balance. Hard workouts are out right now as I have a neck injury right now. Walk walk walk walk walk....
  • i love how many people have some sort of alcohol on their list...lol :drinker: Laughing cow cheese wedges gluten free bread, wraps, crackers yogurt (dreaming cow maple ginger is my current fave) lots and lots of salad veggies yogurt ranch dressing (70 cals and so creamy)
  • Oh, wow---i am unsure I have ever met anyone other than my sister than even knew this word. We had a contest in middle school to learn the longest most complicated, be able to spell, and pronounce it. My sister and I won with this one... Curious to know how anyone else other than a medical professional would come across…
  • Shadow boxing is great for people with limited or reduced mobility :)
  • When I was younger, there were a million and one things I would have wanted done. But I finally figured out that my ideal of beauty was based on a myth and started backing off of that. Oddly, even though I am bigger than I was then, I think I am happier with myself now that I was then. Not totally secure, mind you...but I…
  • I have an AM/PM yoga DVD that I do. Very short, sometimes challenging series of poses. If you have a yoga block, you can totally do all of the poses though... Its produced by Gaiam and you can probably find it online at ebay or amazon.
  • <<--- this girl  He's 6' and a lean 170. I'm 5'5 and a curvacious 174. We've both recently lost weight. I've lost more than him which means even when he was a fatty, I was a fatty-er.... When we started dating, he was 165 and I was 155. I'm working on swinging back in that direction. And its working. WooHoo …
  • Maybe my friends didn't get to see this. Bumping to share the delicious sweetness
  • Here here to minds thinking alike. Truth :)
  • ^^This. Sounds like you prioritize the communication more than he does. I've been in a long distance relationship on and off with my current partner. One time that lasted for almost 2 years. We didn't have the time zone challenge (which is very very tricky), but there were still plenty of times that I felt slighted. So we…
  • In the states here...I've always loved Halloween. Every few years I get into it and dress. I usually go for the scarier, gorier type costumes over the ones people get a lingerie stores. Silly... I've never heard of begging for money. Here its candy and silly cheap toys and the occasional granola bar :grumble: (Don't get me…
  • Fiber Sodium Fat Sugar (I don't usually count the sugar in fruit) I stay away from: processed meat, refined sugar, refined flour Sometimes I cheat. In my view and based on a fair amount of research, whole foods are best. Anything that says "food" or "drink" on the package should probably be avoided (processed cheese food,…
  • The internets have it all :) Try ebay or amazon....
  • that was a fun way to spend 5 minutes
  • First day my shoulders were sore. I agree w fbmandy55 too...I thought my abs would hurt more. They get tired during, but no real pain after. Must be all those years on the stability ball. I've got the most awesome abs of any fat girl I've ever seen :blushing:
  • There is also this amazing box kit called "No Pudge" Fudge brownies. Delicious and soooo fudgy. 110 calories for 1/12 of the recipe. Also has a single serving recipe on the back if you are prone to over kill on the sweets....these are hard to resist
  • Flexibility is good for tons of reasons. Yoga can be very hard and great at toning muscle and weight loss. And only sissies think yoga is for sissies
  • I usually use 5-8 lb weights, but I find 5 lbs to be too hard sometimes with 30 DS. I started this week and expect that to get better. I can make it through, but I often wish I had 3 pounders to start with.
  • Best intro post I've read in a while. Welcome and this is definitely the place to learn. Of course, always do independent research as well since folks on here usually aren't medical professionals. That being said, this place is a wealth of knowledge and support. Great job quitting smoking and congrats on making the…
  • A group of us started this week. You are welcome to join ;)
  • If it feels good, do it. If not, stop.
  • I have read one million and one posts and blogs about 30 day shred and there are many people that do not lose weight. One girl only lost 2 lbs, but lost 10 inches!! I lost 2 lbs in my first week, but expect that to taper off next week. The way your body looks/feels is much more important that what it weighs. Although, I…
