Went slightly off the rails last night and realised I actually do need to do food log daily! Back on track today!
-
It's nice to be among people who are so like-minded. I'm finished eating/logging for the day and feeling fairly positive! Yay!
-
I'd be happy to support you on this....I noticed your emotional eating post and I'm very much the same. I used to be worse! I'm fairly okay now. You are the opposite of me, I've gained and lost 60lbs many times using mostly diet, very little exercise. I'm as unmotivated to exercise as you are to eat right so maybe we make…

Way to go! That's not a small success! Losing inches is hard work...congrats!

I know, right? It makes no sense. Why even bother, esp after I said I was married HAPPILY married. These lads fancy themselves the village studs so it's about them not me ! Plus, at least I can lose weight and get fit. They'll always have bad manners.
-
Haha, BeeBee! I'm 41 and happen to have been born with good genes! Lucky me!
-
I confess that one of the reasons I'm getting fit is so I can be VERY FIT for my 25yr HS reunion in 2011. I know that makes me shallow! (P.S. Still stressing over the issue in my last blog post by trying to distract myself.))

Count me in, too! Location: Galway Ireland I like: spending time w/ my friends, kids, travelling I don't like: feeling badly about myself, pets and procrastinating Walking (with special orthotics) and TurboJam, aquafit Starting weight (on 15 Sept) 199.73lbs/90.6kg Current weight: (on 19 Sept) 196.21lbs/89kg (loss 1.6kg)…

I'd like to lose 30lbs by Christmas! I'm in! Started WOL on 15th September and have lost about 4lbs so far... Here's the situation: 14 weeks until Christmas 14 weeks x 2lbs/week = 28lbs (plus an extra few lbs that I hope to lose in the first few weeks, as I'm just starting off).... I'm 189lbs now so I'd like to be 159 when…

Yes, it'll be challenging to remain positive as I'm still working on losing what I had already lost, if you know what I mean, but will not let it get me down! A sunny day in Galway is a rarity and I'm enjoying!

Thanks so much. The sun is shining (a rariety in the west of Ireland where I live), the housework is done and there's no draaama in my life at the moment.... all good things! Thanks for the encouragement.
-
Really motivating and love the pics. All with your baby in your arms! :) I'm hoping I can feel a bit more positive about myself in the next few months!
-
What a great day and what a brilliant bargain! I love that! I'm glad to see it can be done the healthy way. I was considering losing the weight by trying a gastric balloon, even though I know that it's mad. All it takes is honest to goodness hard work!
-
Thanks so much! I added you as a friend! I need all the friends I can get.... I'm past the Nemo phase now, thank goodness. Haha. I'm goign to give it another week before working out again and I'm going to try the Cardio Party dvd I used to be able to do but I'll just do the intro instruction until I get a bit fitter.
-
Thanks, I'm glad to be back and get some consistency in my eating! I started today and I'm feeling very motivated.
-
Very motivatin! Thanks for responding. It's good to know I'm not alone! I have to stop kickingm myself when I'm down (or up, as is the case now!)

It's different for everyone. The reason I don't eat bread has nothing to do w/ lowcarb or whatever. How not eating bread effects me is this: I don't get hungry as much (even w/ wholewheat, spelt, etc, I still get hungry) and the bloating in my upper tummy (above the bellybutton, below the boobs) goes down within days…

Thanks. At times, I've tried to convince myself that I can just give up and be okay with it. I can't. I hate(d) my body so much it's affecting other areas of my life, personal, professional and emotional. I'm glad to be back!
-
Very motivating! Wow, 3 5ks! I'm so impressed! You look gorgeous and you must be thrilled with your success after all your hard work. I'm hoping to have after pictures eventually :)

I'm with you on this one! I always get the, "You have such a pretty face" and then a meaningful pause. Let me preface this by saying I'm married to wonderful man, so the opinion of other men shouldn't matter, however, it does. So does the opinion of my GP, the skinnies at work and mostly any person who I come in contact…

Way to go! I'm down from a 20UK to a size 16UK and I hope I get into a 14 sooner rather than later.
-
I'm here too but just barely at 199! But on my way down on the elevator.

Favourite food I could walk away from forever is chips (french fries)! Who do you most wish you could show off your new physique to (when you get to goal or if you are already there)?
-
Ooh, sounds fun! Lucky you!! :) Enjoy some cervezas and margaritas!

Definitely harder to motivate myself to exercise. I'm trying to convince myself I like it. When faced with the choice, I'll 75% of the time cut short on the exercise I've committed to do out of boredom, laziness or sheer unfitness. 95% of the time, I make the right food choices. I wouldn't mind loving exercise but I'm just…

Thanks StiringWendel! I'm feeling a bit better and I might tackle some TurboJam this afternoon!

I hope you don't mind if I join the UK group! There's no Ireland group on here and prob most people think Ireland is a part of the UK anyway! Yikes. Anyway, I'm glad to see other people are so near their goal weight! I have so far to go it seems like I'll never get there! At least I'm 1/5 of the way there. Hoping to get…
