Great smile.

Well after a LOT of searching online I've heard various different reasons from sinuses being blocked, bad posture and dehydration - will definitely ask my doctor though, the not knowing is annoying.

Completely. Also I feel it's vital for me to feel comfortable using weights and learning to use them correctly before I move onto moderate to heavy loads. I want to be able to perfect it to ensure I don't injure myself. I've already had knee pain from incorrect form during some of my Jillian Michaels workouts and can only…

Well done, that's fantastic and I think you have a refreshing attitude about weight loss
-
Thank you, will start this next week, feeling quite excited about trying out something new.

Thanks so much for the advice, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out  I'm already eating back my exercise calories, my weight is kind dropping a tiny amount then next day I'll find I've put a pound back on. I'm not really too hung up about weight per se, just really my overall look. Think I'll…

I generally don't find people asking questions dumb (no matter what the question), no one is born with all the answers - we have to learn, and to do that we sometimes need to ask questions. Just my opinion.

I'm 29, 5'3, currently 112lb and hoping to lose another 10 - 11lb. My main aim is to lose weight and tone, build a small amount of muscle. I'm pretty new to all this healthy eating and exercise so for now I'm just doing 30 Day Shred, Ripped in 30 and have started running when possible (I have a toddler so not much free…

I've never been overweight, have had plenty of relationships - and every single one of them has left me miserable. The loneliest times of my life have been when I've been in relationships, that's the sad truth. I've suffered with depression my whole life. I'm just telling you this because I know many people may think that…

I'm 5'3 and 112lbs - I don't feel I look slim, I think I need to lose weight around my stomach mainly. What I want to do really is lose a about 10lbs and then tone up (which I'll probably gain muscle and maybe end up weighing more than my goal weight but I will essentially still be slimmer). It's all up to the individual…

You are amazing! Congratulations on your weight loss, I hope your new life is a long, happy healthy one, good for you :flowerforyou:

I completely agree. I can't even believe people are acting like it doesn't happen. It does happen. It is happening. People just pick apart peoples posts bit by bit (when most the time the parts they pick away at are irrelevant anyway). I've also noticed that once one person starts they all start - it's a bit "playground"…

That all the money I spent on skin creams was a complete waste of money - all I had to do to have healthy, glowing skin is change my diet.
-
I think I love you for this post!! Oh I want to add my confession - I wait until the end of the day when I know I'm not going to eat anything else - then I work out how many squares of chocolate I could eat with the remaining calories I have left and sometimes .... just sometimes, I eat that chocolate goddammit!…

If he likes taking you out maybe suggest other places to take you than for meals out? The theatre, cinema, bowling, art galleries, museums, concerts, comedy nights etc - maybe if you socialised together away from food it would help. Ultimately though there is always going to be temptation and you just have to be strong,…

Some days I used to eat very very little, not because I was on a "diet" (never been on one in my life), not because I was ill - just because I didn't feel like it. I would sometimes go days eating very very little - BUT when my hunger did come back it would come back with a vengeance and I would then over eat. It never…

I'm actually the opposite and tell everyone what I plan to do, I find that way people are asking how I'm getting on and I'd feel rubbish if I hadn't done anything so it pushes me to do what I say I will. Also I kind of like people scoffing at my goals - "Pfft I don't think you'll be ready by then" - "Why don't you set your…

I apologise profusely, I most certainly would not want to damage an ego, especially one of the fragile kind! I retract aforementioned statement - please continue

Seriously? I'm not the pizza police - just saying I ate a lot of junk food including pizza - the pizzas I ate were junk, I didn't state ALL pizza was junk food. I think maybe you might need to sit down with a nice cup of tea and relax a little.
-
Depends on the pizza perhaps but the ones I ate were most definitely junk food.
-
You're welcome. I'm interested because I pretty much used to live on junk food (takeaways, soda, frozen chips and pizzas etc) up until about a week ago, I'm also very interested in taking up running (I'm hopeless but have been three times so far - short distances mixed with walking)

I wouldn't say the op is "fat" their BMI would be 24 I think? which is normal. Good luck with your healthy eating OP.
-
I get cravings too, cravings for chocolate (which I hardly eat at all normally) and bread, for some reason my body just wants/needs/craves lots of bread! I'm finding it hard to not give into those cravings. :embarassed:
-
I hardly think people are "stupid" for not knowing the calorie content of everything they eat/drink. Uneducated when it comes to healthy eating? perhaps. That's why I posted this in the "Getting Started" forum, because I am still learning - some of the things I am learning shock me and it looks like I'm not alone. No need…

I gain anything up to 3lb too. What bugs me more than the actual weight gain is the dreaded bloat. I swear I can gain a size! Since starting to exercise and eat more healthily though I have noticed the last time I was less bloated than usual. I did used to drink copious amounts of cola though and have cut right back on…

   I would be exactly the same, someone handed me a meal with half a potato I'd flip, majorly! Saying that with the harsh words and nagging about the weight I'd be long gone by now anyway.
