  • I'm in too! I've been on this site off and on since I had my son (now 3 1/2!) . I never lost the baby weight, and I'm sick of being ashamed of the way I look. I'm ready to make a change, and being on here and seeing that there are others out there who struggle like I do yet succeed in losing weight.....makes me think that…
  • well, i'll have to admit i'm afraid of him cheating. like i said, we haven't been married long, and we really haven't been apart. he did mention that he plans on going to the strip once he gets there. maybe i'm being silly...
  • my husband and i have been married for almost a year. he's in the air force. next month he'll be going to las vegas for 2 weeks. suddenly i'm freaking out! i realize it's only 2 weeks and it's only vegas, but i'm really scared. i thought i had dealt with the fact that he could be deployed at any time for any length of…
  • i made these the other day as well. they are sooooooo good! very moist and chocolatey!
  • you're not alone! i ate pizza for dinner last night.....and boy, did i eat. i'm embarrassed to say how much i ate. i did calculate the calories and was over by 600 for the day! ugh! i'll count it as my cheat day and get back on track the rest of the week. good luck! don't beat yourself up though! everyone needs a cheat…
  • hi stacy, i am in the same boat, i think. i am a stay at home mom. i have a 4 year old step-son who we get every 2 weeks and a 9 month old baby boy. i've been on this site for about 2 weeks now, and i love it! everyone is so supportive and it's very easy to keep track of your calories, exercise, etc. i'm currently 168 and…
  • Just a warning to everyone, especially all you tender-hearted moms out there like myself....DON'T watch the movie "The Mist". It came out on DVD yesterday, i believe. My husband brought it home (we normally like scary flicks and thrillers). This movie made me physically sick...well, the ending did anyway. I was just hoping…

  • I struggle with the exact same thing... one thing that works for me is to find something to do when a craving like that hits. anything to get my mind occupied, whether it's laundry, sweeping the floor, go online to MFP, take out the trash (i'm a stay at home mom, so it's usually some type of housework). when i finish what…
  • i agree with you too, banks. if i ate what i want all the time, i'd weight 400lbs. i believe self-discipline is important if you want to lost weight.... that's just my opinion, though
  • I just rely on my hubby and 4 year old stepson to eat them. If they don't, then I say goodbye and toss them! I agree w/ catlover, they've served their purpose for the day!
  • I'm so glad I"m not the only one who blew it. I went over by 300 calories! bah! Back on the wagon again today. Didn't work out at all this weekend, and had a REALLY hard time doing my cardio this morning. Darn it....
  • Born and raised in good ole' Alabama, but moved to Shreveport, LA where my hubby is stationed.

  • Love it! I usually have a glass or two per day, now I have an excuse! :) thanks for the chuckle!
  • Good news indeed! We went through the same with my baby. He was born with his intestines outside his body. Was in the NICU for 5 weeks. It's amazing what doctors can do these days. Very glad to hear Elizabeth Ann is doing well!
  • thank you all for the suggestions! very helpful indeed!
  • eating is definitely emotional for me as well. thats part of whats got me in my current position. after dinner is especially hard like you said, its the first time that i get to sit down and have a moment to myself.
  • popcorn is a great idea! i'll try that tonight if i get that overwhelming urge to snack. thanks!
  • arrggg!!! i do so great all day with my eating and exercising, have a healthy dinner....then it hits me. I WANNA SNACK! That's the most difficult time of day for me! Yesterday I ended up eating Jelly Beans of all things. I'm so mad at myself! Anyone have any motivation to throw my way?:grumble:
  • You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your chin up, cowboy. Take it one day at a time, and if that's too much, one minute at a time.:flowerforyou:
  • i did have a csection 9 months ago, and the scar does bother me sometimes. i think that is a common problem. not sure about the epidural spot though. i never had a problem with that.
  • I was on the depo shot for awhile and gained almost 10lbs. I stopped taking it in january and haven't lost a single pound. My guess is depending on what you're taking, you'll still have to do a little work to lose the pounds.
  • this was VERY helpful to a newbie like me! thanks!
  • welcome! i just signed up today, myself. good luck to ya!:drinker:
  • I feel exactly the same way. That very thing happened today, actually. I had just started this workout video, "The Firm"... and I hear my husband pull up. I RAN to our bedroom to change out of my ridiculous workout clothes. It's embarrassing to show how out of shape I am in front of him. If he is home, on the weekend for…
