That wasn't directed to you. I would think you'd be better at figuring that stuff out, considering your immense post count.
-
I'm sorry. I must have confused you with the person that was talking about chihuahuas. My apologies.
-
These forums are for entertainment purposes only. Don't take it personally.
-
That's too much thinking. You just made my head hurt. Let's go back to talking about chihuahuas. Or at least post a kitty gif.
-
Well, we know that won't work. People are way too sensitive. Just look at the recent thread where posters were complaining when individuals complimented them on losing weight! When I was fat, I referred to myself that way. Perhaps it was because I never felt trapped by it.
-
I hope you're not confusing me with one of the "whiners." I think everyone that does the work, and makes the sacrifices (regardless whether I agree with their particular dietary views), deserves kudos.
-
But you gotta admit: It's easy to be judgmental when you're a hard-body, in a sea of fat people.
-
He's only 5'5"? He sounds a lot bigger.

Now, anyone who doesn't feel you need to stop at the convenience store every day for a liter-sized fountain drink will be lumped in with your "sugar is an addiction" comments. Thanks for ending any potential for thoughtful discussion. (Ah, who am I kidding?)
-
And I'm not sure how else to explain it. Ask a friend to read it to you. Oh, and I'm not "Aaron," so perhaps you're trying to digest this all too quickly?

Is someone saying that there was weight loss without a deficit? The point is (as you so kindly quoted) that it is easier to arrive at said deficit when eating less carbs. Are individuals here being willfully obtuse? Don't others on this forum often say to eat foods high in fat and protein to help with satiety? Are they…

In the same paragraph that you mention how others aren't "addressing legitimate arguments," you call someone ignorant? No need to comment further, since, if an explanation is required, you wouldn't understand it anyway.
-
Why do I care whether you lose weight or not? If I had a vested interest in it, yes, I would show you how it's done. It's not really that difficult, which only leads me to the conclusion that it's just another excuse to tell someone when they "can't" lose weight. Edited to quote "can't," since losing weight is attainable…

I suspect that your body's "efficiency" is about equal to your inability to accurately measure your intake.
-
You should've said that first. Would've saved me a lot of typing.
-
Have your body "scrutinized?" Are you being serious? You sound as if you were put on the auction block, and paraded around. You lost weight, and find offense at someone trying to give you a compliment. I get it.
-
Which makes your unwarranted concern about someone else's kids even more boggling.
-
So everything your children see implies that it's a "fine and dandy" practice? Perhaps it's your job to explain to them what's right and wrong in case, you know, they aren't living in a bubble. It's not the rest of the world's responsibility to behave the way you would like them to, even if it's in front of (gasp) your…

A friend of a family member had a gastric bypass and lost a considerable amount of weight (although she's still quite big), and I complimented her on how she looked. I wasn't near her, however, so I didn't initially notice the big flaps of skin hanging off her arms. Yes, I'm sure she was healthier (assuming her procedure…

You're concerned about being too fat to go to the gym, due to judgmental patrons, but you refer to those that aren't overweight disparagingly? Look at it this way: The other members are probably commenting on you as much as you comment on them.
-
I don't have any practical experience with it, but at almost 400 pounds, perhaps it's a mobility issue? Much easier to situate yourself on one of those bikes, and slowly pedal. If I were approaching 400, I wouldn't worry much about any muscle I might lose (and this is probably a sedentary individual, so how much could be…

GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Don't mess up all the "feel-goodery" with thinking!
-
If you enjoy the way you look and feel, it makes sense that you're losing the motivation to continue (at least if you're like most, and feel even a little bit of deprivation during the process). You have to ask yourself: Who are you doing this for? You say you like the way you look. If that's why you started losing in the…

All the individuals calling them "trashy" seems rather odd. Kinda judgmental for a weight-loss forum. But, then again, it might be sour grapes. I doubt many here would want to focus attention on their gut.
-
And this is why there are so many fat people running around looking for magical fixes.
-
Are you that guy who posted about how his weight-loss knowledge wasn't taken seriously by the "skinny" guy at work? If not, you should friend him. You two would probably hit it off.
-
Based on your respective counts, I think you both just like posting, regardless of the topic at hand.
-
Do you realize what "out of context" means? If you can't get a handle on something that insignificant, it's no wonder you're in a constant state of debate. [snip remarks saying no one stated there were substances comparable to cocaine in processed foods, along with some "study" trying to imply the exact opposite]
-
Well, if you wouldn't have taken my comment out of context, it would've been quite clear why I refuted that implication. But no matter. When I was a child, my grandfather made homemade potato chips, liberally salted. They weren't as crispy as I would've liked, but I ate many, many of them. What about a cake made from…
