I see now why your husband said not to text pictures like that to him when he's driving! You look great! All of your hard work is paying off. Enjoy!!

Looking great!! :drinker: Keep up the good work!

That's great!! Really, at this point, don't worry about speed!! You will speed up as your body gets used to it. Right now, the important thing is to take it steady (don't push too far too soon) and try to enjoy it. With running, I think patience really is a virtue!

I've been running for just over a year now. Average pace is a tricky question, depends on what surface I'm running on and how far I plan to run. On a dirt trail probably 12 to 13 minutes per mile, on pavement between 9:30 to 10:30 per mile (unless I'm running 6+ miles in which case it's more like 10:00 to 11:00). 5K racing…

I like it. Have to make sure I add chicken stock and/or seasoning. Too bland if just cooked in water. I use it where I'd normally eat rice. Goes really well with chilli.

Mashed with a little black pepper for seasoning then spread on nice warm toast!

Been running for a year now and loving it! Never really enjoyed exercise before this. Feel free to add me - I can always do with more friends who run!

That guy with the English accent.

Congratulations on getting started! That's the most important step right there. It will get easier. I felt like I was going to die several times during the first three weeks of C25K. Now I really look forward to running. A lot of it is mental. Once you gain the confidence that you CAN do it, there'll be no stopping you.…

The "before" picture was ~ 290 lbs and the "after" was about a year ago at ~ 240 lbs. I've lost about another 20 lbs since then but I don't think it's as noticeable.

@TanyaCurtis the one in the bright blue top! Your eyes are stunning!
-
Sure!! You can do it!! Keep working out and things will firm up!
-
Well done! So you ran for fifteen minutes more today than yesterday? That's a big jump and you should be proud of yourself. You know, there's obviously a lot of physical conditioning that goes into running but I also believe that there's a HUGE mental aspect to it too. You've proved to yourself that you can do…

I agree!! Congratulations!!

Good luck to all of you who are running this weekend! :drinker:

Just in case you wanted more middle-aged hairy guys......

I had to look up cornichon. Sounds good to me but a lot more effort than a ketchup sandwich!
-
Agreed!! :drinker:

All good suggestions! Also, on days where I'm really sore, I walk for a couple of miles at a comfortable pace.
-
I agree! Sounds like you need advice from a trained medical professional.

Try this : http://www.runnersworld.com/shoeadvisor Good luck!

@Ahsongbird - you have beautiful eyes. If I have to pic one photo, I choose the close-up with the flower behind your ear.

There's a bunch of other personal junk mixed in with the spreadsheet, so it probably wouldn't be that useful. I'll maybe do a template version of it, or a tutorial on setting one up in Excel. What version of Excel do you have?

LOL!

I agree! Please don't let the doctor discourage you. :flowerforyou:
-
Of course we can see a difference! Congrats on your progress so far! :drinker: The dress is beautiful, too.
-
Well done! That's a big change in four weeks. :flowerforyou: Keep up the good work (and keep the shirt. It will work great for progress pics.)
-
Good one. I exercise for mental health reasons!
-
Wow!! Great job! Keep up the good work!
