Don't forget the energy drinks to help get you through the workouts. Drink lots of beer to get hydrated.... Also, I hear that eating cabbage soup every day for a month is a real motivator to stay on your diet.

You're doing great! Congratulations! :flowerforyou: Keep up the good work! (Looks like you need to resize a couple of those pics for MFP to display them properly.)

I had a "moment of optimism" when I renewed my license and knocked 20 lbs off what I weighed at the time (said 260 instead of 280). I'm now down to 250, so 10 pounds lighter than it says on my license.

Trying to think of a polite way of putting this. :blushing: OK, lets try this : As far as the Brits are concerned, a woman doesn't sit on her fanny - she pees out of it......

Can you eat corn tortillas instead of flour? They're more traditional and better for you. If not, the lettuce idea sounds good.

One way that exercise definitely helps my weight loss is this ---> Ant time I spend exercising is less time sat on my butt in front of the TV eating crap!!

That is awesome! Must be a great sense of achievement! I've signed up for a 5K on June 21st and I have to admit I'm very nervous right now.

Unfortunately, there is evidence that your body sometimes gets confused and tells you that you are HUNGRY or LACKING ENERGY when you are dehydrated. (So we sometimes eat when we should be drinking.) I didn't used to drink more than about 32 oz of water a day. Last couple of weeks I've been drinking four times that much.…

Awesome article! Thanks for posting the link! Here's a very interesting quote from it : "Feelings of thirst can be confused with hunger, both because eating can soothe thirst and also because dehydration-induced fatigue is often misinterpreted as a lack of fuel (e.g., sugar). Both dynamics can lead to false…

It has other benefits too. I have far fewer headaches since I increased my water intake. I've found that it becomes easier with time too. At first I struggled to drink 9 glasses a day. Now I normally manage 15+

Mole poblano de pollo, arroz y frijoles refritos. Tortillas de maíz y mucha cerveza. (Chicken Mole with rice, refried beans, corn tortillas and lots of beer - preferably a good IPA.) Oh, and for dessert - Baked Alaska!!

True, but you can get results by toning the muscles in the area you want to work on.

¡Bienvenida! You've found the right place. Good luck!

Yeah, after looking at your diary it looks like you need to eat more. (I know, it seems illogical). Try adding fresh fruit and drink more water. Kind of a personal question, but are you constipated? I had terrible trouble with that my first couple of weeks. :embarassed: Again, I think it just takes your body a while to…

All I can say is - don't give up! :flowerforyou: It will work. You will see results eventually. I think sometimes the weight loss gets delayed because the body is in a state of shock.

I don't blame you for wanting ice cream. We all want treats sometimes and you deserved it. You're obviously doing well with your weight loss so try not to let other people's comments get you down. :flowerforyou:

That is great! Very happy for you. It's a reward for your hard work and determination! :flowerforyou:
