I just cook it in chicken stock (instead of plain water) and then serve it as an alternative to rice with stews and chili.

What you're describing is a "crash diet" type rate that can only be maintained for a week or so. A lot of what you'll lose will be water that you'll regain just as rapidly if you hydrate properly. 2 pounds a week is an aggressive pace. 2 pounds a day is just NOT healthy in the long run.

Beer!! The problem being that, not only does it contain a lot of calories, it also gives me the munchies and impairs my self-control! :smile:
