Well done! Just keep up the good work and don't get discouraged. You'll start losing weight soon.

They forgot to mention that part! Then, again I'm hairy all over - even without the supplements!

You're a lot younger than me, so you'll probably be able to adapt to C25K faster, but here's my advice: 1) Take it slow. If you feel that 6.5 mph is too fast at first, try building up gradually from 5.0 mph. See how you feel after you complete the session. See how sore you feel the next day. You should be able to hold a…

I bought something similar from Trader Joe's recently. Loved the taste, but I agree that the packaging seems excessive. :grumble:

There are arguments that drinking tea is not quite like drinking water because the caffeine acts as a diuretic (makes you pee more). The last article that I read said that the diuretic effect of green tea is pretty mild and that it's antioxidants are very beneficial. I'd say that you could substitute green tea…

Me too. I snack throughout the day but try to stick to lower calorie snacks. I need around 40% left for dinner (more if I want dessert ).

That's great!! Keep up the good work!

and I agree with brandilee81 and abbie017. Don't give up - but give yourself time to recover. When I was struggling at the beginning of C25K I took a couple of weeks off and just concentrated on walking every day for at least half an hour. Then I eased back into the program gradually. You can do it!

OWW!! Charlie! That really hurts!

I agree - 20 minutes seemed like a magic number for me too. Congratulations on achieving your goal - and keep up the good work!

As long as you are OK with walking some of it if you have to (and it's a distinct possibility) I'd say "Go for it." Just don't push too hard during training. You don't have much time, but don't try to cram 5 or 6 weeks of training into the next 2-and-a-half weeks. Try walking 5K first - building up to it over the course of…

You could always try a Bacon Maple Bar from Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, Oregon.

From the Nutrition section of the Mayo Clinic web site : "All types of grains are good sources of complex carbohydrates, various vitamins and minerals, and are naturally low in fat. But grains that haven't been refined — called whole grains — are even better for you. Whole grains are better sources of fiber and other…

I'd rather have brown or wild rice any day. I find them to have MUCH more flavor than white rice. Each to his own, I guess.

Do you think chocolate covered pepperoni pizza would work too? (Not sure if the drops are available for this option.)

I'll be happy if I mange 55 miles. Good luck!

You're doing great!! Well done!

Awesome! Your hard work is paying off. Congratulations!

I just checked the tortillas in my kitchen. (I eat corn, the rest of my family prefers flour). The corn tortillas have less calories, less saturated fat (in fact, none), less sodium and much more fiber. Seems like a no-brainer to me!
