I started logging my "binges" and waking up about 3 months ago. Believe me, they were ugly. But once I told myself "I am logging everything.. no matter what", my binges got fewer and when I did binge... it wasn't really that bad. Now if I want a treat like donuts, lots of pizza etc... I plan for it and log it still and…

This is a different take... If you have a lifestyle where you work at the same place every day, don't have to travel, have control over your food at home, then I really feel that someone can get totally "in tune" and stop logging. But, for many of us with schedules that change daily, travel, etc. etc. etc. - Logging…

My biggest one is get a good digital scale. Get a fitbit and learn to sync with mfp. Log every single days...even on days where you eat a lot for a special occasion..the habit is crucial.

This is a good common sense post! It took me a long time to finally understand that HRM's are only good for steady-state cardio and nothing more . Weight Training is a whole different animal and your "rule of thumb" for calories is a good way to go about it. The "long term" gains from weight training are immeasurable.. but…

Everyone is doing a great job. I will be on vacation for 5 days... but I will take my fitbit! Have a great week!:flowerforyou:

Walking is awesome by itself and it stands "on it's own"! I like to run also and I am staring to walk 500 steps / run 100 steps. I am going to continue this until I get more "running endurance".

Great Post - The thing that I like about MFP that there are all sorts of different ways to exercise. It is about getting outside of your "comfort zone" {{{ heads to make a total fool of himself doing burpees }}

Also - This advice is sound and worth considering. There are many people here who genuinely want others to succeed. Good luck to you :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

HI! Thanks for posting on here... it really is the first step. Here is some good news... you don't have to eat so little to lose weight. Please start reading some of these links and realize that food is your friend, it gives you energy, and that a slow and steady weight loss is the way to do it. Keep it simple find a…

I have found some really good things in this thread from just about everyone. I think that 99% of the people here would not be on MFP if they didn't want to make a change. Some people have more "tools" to do it than others. I really like how the them of "self responsibility" keeps bubbling up!

I was normal sized as a child and teenager. Grew up on junk food - McDonalds, Burger King etc. etc. etc. Was only once at an ideal look/weight during my adult life and have always been hanging around 25%-32% body fat... Basically "chubby". I have been yo-yo "dieting" for about 20 years going from 200s down to 180 and…
