Hey OP I like this thread. I like all the back and forth etc. etc. etc. What I take out of this is that "lifestyle change" is just a another way of saying "This is one's attitude about their relationship with food, tracking of food intake, exercise, and other general health improvements" Long story short; and this is just…

Hey OP thanks for having the guts and courage to fight your addiction and taking the time to post here.It is great to see people fighting to be better any way they can. Inspirational post! :glasses:

This is awesome!

Another way to look at it is to just treat each ingredient as if you were eating them separately and log them separately. If you start to see a pattern, then enter it as a recipe.

I use the app runkeeper! This gives me totally accurate pace and distance. I purposely have set my fitbit stride to less to "sandbag" myself. It is all about being consistent.

I agree with what Sabine_Stroeh posted earlier. I strongly believe that this subject really gets into the psychological end of things regarding will power and discipline. I am trying to lose 30-40 lbs and get fitter by doing a "lifestyle" change right now. I hope to report back in a few months that this works. I would…

I can definitely see a difference, but what I like is your attitude. Keep going - These kind of posts "fire me up"! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I am really sorry to disagree, but eating under 800 calories per day (and most likely doing some exercise) is just not a good long term viable solution. Losing weight fast is not the goal. Sorry to disagree, but I just have to respond... thanks!

Hi There congratulations on your lifestyle change. One possible reason that you are feeling tired is that you just are netting way too low. Look up BMR and TDEE here is a great post that helps http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/703064-is-scooby-the-best-calculator Here is another post I really like…

don't like to leave mine open. Had some "uncomfortable" friends that would use what I ate as a basis for our relationship. I had someone yell at me for something I ate and I just set "f$%ck it".

For all the people who are on the boards complaining about "Mean" People.... they should read this post. This is a great constructive post. I would not be suprised if there is some guy out there "lurking" (in a good way of course) reading all the posts and then actually gets the guts to go to a yoga class or pop in a yoga…

Three years ago I was counting calories on another site. I am a 5' 7 male who weighs 195 with about 30% bf. I lost 15 lbs trying to eat 1400 calories per day and often netting in the 700s. I was weak , had no endurance, sick, and hangry. I got to MFP, started readng, and now I am losing weight, and getting fit eating 2200…

On a serious note. I use my fitbit all day long. When I drive for more than 30 minutes I actually plug my fitbit into the charge so that it will not log.

I like this group! We get what we put into it! What I like about an all men group is that is "socially more difficult" to be a guy who is watching what he eats etc. than a woman. I know that this is a "general" statement, but it is true. We have to be almost more "stealthy" about it. I am not going to give up going out…

Sometimes I get these wild "carb" cravings where any kind of carb is just not enough. The only thing that works is to consciously sitdown and eat protein like chicken or eggs. If I make a grilled chicken salad with LOTS of olive oil.. that gets me back on track and I stay "full" and the carb cravings go away! hope this…

Walking is great - Don't listen to anyone that tells you that walking is anything else!
