2.9 mile walk today 2.9 total

Hello, I would like to go for 75 miles as I will be travelling a lot and all of this will be running or walking.
-
I have actually started running now (really slow). My achievement to my goal may not seem much, but I am proud of it because it is all on my feet. Thanks again for all who make this challenge possible.

Starting to run for 3-4 minutes at a time and walk. - 3.6 miles today Total: 38.8. I have to really focus to make 125 (because I am doing it all "on foot") :)

In because I like the "idea" of this post. I have recently been able to lose weight during one of the most stressful 28 day work stretches of my career. Life is definitely happening now. But I am dealing with it differently.

Everyone thanks! Ran / Walked yesterday and walked today 17.5 total

Total Miles - 11.9 Did a great 2.5 run/walk session this morning - I love the fall!

+1 Good luck to you - There are a lot of supportive people here on MFP. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Look at the links above.

This may be controversial and I may be "simplifying" things too much. But just my opinion. Some of those who are here to "just lose weight" generally do not mention the love of exercise and and how the changes affect the rest of their life. The people that get a "wake up call" and realize that they need to change Their…

@seltzer - you have to keep posting - pretty soon you will be under "contract' - Priceless :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: --- and I totally agree - It HAS to be lifestyle. Great post OP!

Thanks again for doing the challenge! Really appreciate it! :drinker: I am going to go for 100 miles again. But I will be strict with myself I will only count "real" Walking Treadmill Running (I will not count elliptical, stationery bike, or fitbit random extra distance) Moving it "Old School" :drinker:

Here is my take. I have a very fit, healthy wife. She has worked hard at it all her life. I gotten 40-50 lbs overweight because it is my own fault. I have been lazy and undisciplined. I am progressively getting more and more fit In my mind taking care of my body, exercising, and eating properly is my responsibility. When I…

Hi, --> I am no expert and I am just getting started too... just my take: I am a 52 year old male 5'7" - 190 lbs. I estimate I am at 30% bodyfat now and I am trying to get down to 15%. I am trying to lose netting between 1700-2200 calories per day. You might want to research BMR and TDEE Here is a great post to get started…

I got up before 6:00 AM today and it was cold. I thought of some paralyzed acquaintances that can't freaking walk! So I just watched my feet move and 90 minutes later I had a long walk in. If you can post about it you can DO IT!

edited... Feel free to add.. I am very dysfunctional

banter away - You keep things interesting here! :drinker:  :flowerforyou:

@twijourney - that just makes too much sense. Great answer! The key is to not "overload" people with status updates (turn off the automatic settings which say what forums your replied to etc.) Experiment with posts, leave them open ended so that people will add information. It is just like real life: it is subtle and it…

This was definitely (as Fsunami puts it) an unintended benefit At the end of the day it is all about discipline. At the end... Freedom happens! Keep going op!:drinker:

Chef.. we are already friends, but I like your idea about "treats". I am consciously trying to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables as a larger and larger part of my diet! Well written!
-
posting for later... I have been using a fitbit synched with MFP for a while and just getting the "hang of it".. I have lots of good feedback later... It really is great

I am trying to net about 2200 calories every day. (I am calorie averaging) However, I won't go below 1800 calories. I will eat a few teaspoons of peanut butter just to make sure I get there. However.. to be honest.. My problem hasn't been going low it has been those "high" days!

Your mind is getting stronger all the time - awesome NSV and post!
