Yo! This is the classic "puzzle to solve". I was talking to a friend about it the other day. He had lost 30 lbs in about 4 months and he mentioned that he had to limit his exercise because he got too hungry. He looked kind of "flabby" and not "fit". It is a hard thing... for example: You want to do 500 calorie deficit per…

@anaconda - I can identify in a similar way. I have been travelling and I have had to run near my hotel and the holiday traffic made it so hazardous that I just had to run in circles in a big box store parking lot... and then still I was afraid of getting hit! Good luck on the century!

^^This - very well said!

@lelyke OK... so we both need to lose 50 lbs - I am going to count calories and weigh everything. If you beat me to losing 50 lbs... then I will eat some serious crow! All I am saying is that you have to start somewhere and get some data!:drinker:

I thought I was going to get a 15 minute jog in so I wouldn't "fall behind" in this challenge... I kept running and ran a 5K by myself! :drinker: [3/3]

17.4 miles Total - Today: Felt good and ended up running a 5K (By myself - verfied using the RunKeeper App) through big box store parking lots - Plus walked. Had to get this entry in early because I have a 5 hour drive today.

OK.... Here is how I yell at myself: When I am sitting on my butt not wanting to be disciplined and do what I have to do, I just think of those poor runners and bystanders who were injured in the Boston Marathon Blast. That vivid picture helps every time. We are so luck and we just piss away our opportunities!

This is fairly constructive for a 1200 calorie debate post (really I am not trying to be snarky or ironic :drinker: ) My opinion is that yes, there are people who have found that 1200 calories is the amount they have to eat to lose weight at a healthy pace. However, I suspect that at least 50% of the people who are trying…

All these are awesome! I ran 1.0 miles without stopping for the first time in about 9 months!

^^ this is really good. Also.. I keep an excel spreadsheet of my weights (I weight every day) and do a 10 day average weight. Then I track that in MFP.. I only look at that. Also I only consider weight to be one minor measurement. My other things I track: waist other measurements time to run a mile How many pushups I can…
