I use the website on Chrome on My "old school" laptop. On my ASUS tablet I use IE and check "desktop" mode On My Motorola Razr I just use the APP and clear the "cache" occasionally. It all works good. The only thing is that some things are easier on the desktop vs. the tablet vs. the phone. Remember this is Free …

Everything above is great. I know that I am repeating a lot of people here, but a digital food scale changed everything for me!

@knitapeace - Very well said. I found myself framing my experiences as status update and I realized that I "had an issue" I quit cold turkey 2 years ago, deleted my account and have not looked back. Now I have to be careful about spending too much time here LOL

^^^This post says it all extremely well. The one common theme throughout this thread is that no one talks about the "mechanics" of health and fitness. It all really comes down to commitment and discipline. Good luck ... there are a lot of people here who are making progress, and they are eager to share their amazing…

^^ This is right on! Please listen to the many voices of reason here. I have been on these boards for nearly a year and most of these people who are giving the candid advice have all tried to lose weight in many ways. They have all gotten to a point of realizing that they need 1. Figure out their TDEE and BMR (several…

Bump as there is a lot of good information here. It totally changed my health and fitness life when I started: 1. Weighing my solid foods on a digital scale in grams (I had underestimated my peanut butter intake for example and I was "eyeballing" chicken etc.) 2. Started questioning inflated burns on MFP (The elliptical…

Take the emotion out of it wherever possible. I cannot stress this enough. [/quote] I am a fat dad who is on his way to becoming a fit dad. One thing I…

Catching up Switched back to "non-fitbit" distance count. It is a personal choice, but I want to "feel" every mile I do. Last month I would just look at my fitbit at the end of the day and say "oh wow - I did 6.4 miles - Neat, I will take it". When I switched back I actually "docked" myself many miles. I set a goal of 124…

I am still at the point where I can walk long distances faster than I can run. For example just in the last month I have been able to walk long distances at 4.0 mph. So right now I am trying to do "speed work" (for me) at 5 mph for shorter period of times. Then I also do a lot of job/walk. i don't know if I am ever going…
