This is honestly the biggest thing. I've watched my wife drop 15 kg over the last year and she has been on my case for 6 months to do the same. I went skiing joined a gym etc but didn't really put in. Drop a kg put on 2 etc Then the other weekend I just felt crap. Sore back out of breath sleepy etc. That was when I knew I…

Warm up and cool down mainly for calories for. My warm up is a very brisk walk and my cool down can be anything from a light jog to a brisk walk.
-
You only get basic data unless you get the premium one
-
A five minute warm up and cool down is about an extra 1km so it's not insignificant
-
Week Two Day Two done Felt good even finished with a slow jog on cool down
-
My c25k app doesn't log distance etc so I start Strava when I start that. I might start endomondo after the five minute warm up and stop it before the five minute cool down that way I'll have a record of both the total without and workout without cool down and warm up

I'll be in this. I'm at 96 now ( down from 97.5 on Monday) with a goal of 80 Oh yeh. That's kgs You muricans and your crazy pounds :)

That's not what I mean by all out or nothing though. I meant as a whole not individual aspects. I'm currently trying to lose Weight so I will do everything that it revolves around. Fitness lifting cardio all of it. I believe my issues in previous recent attempts have been the motivation. I've felt like I needed to do it…

Week 2 day 1 last night for about the fifth time after restarting the program yet again. This time I'm determined to complete it and keep my fitness up rather than refers back to my fat old self
-
I don't actually do the program on the set days. I alternate lifting riding and running through the week depending on time weather and what I feel like that day
-
Thanks Maggie but I'm the kind of person that needs to go all out or nothing. If I gradually build up to it I never get there. I do the same with everything I do. I immerse myself in it completely. However I am only set to half a kg per week (1 pound)

well this last attempt didnt succeed. so now it is on to another one. for the first time over the weekend i felt "unhealthy" due to my weight. breathlessness, sore back, tired etc. so now another reason that this has to work. this time i have started a proper blog. check it out at http://zorbaru.blogspot.com.au ill be…

also, being the geek that i am, i prefer to work out when i have technology to play with. my wife gave me some bluetooth headphones for fathers day which i now wear to the gym. the issue i was having was that my taste of music does not suit any internet radio that is out there. and my collection of music at home is too big…

well another failure is another opportunity to start again. started the above program again this week. 3 days of lifting a week. going to supplement with 2 or 3 days of cardio per week also (the day 3 will be saturdays that i get a chance to take the kayak out) i need to succeed as it is starting to affect more than just…

it sucks *kitten*, i have the same issue. its not easy and sometimes you just cave. but try to eat a little less through the day to save you calories for when you get that burst of hunger. remember you have a deficit built into you calorie goal too (500 if you selected 1lb per week). so even if you go over your goal but…

having a set program is key. when i was going previously i would just go and aimlessly do stuff. now i have a program to follow it is much easier to get the motivation to go
-
surely you all can do better than one song

i havent posted in a few days, it has been really busy down here. However, im back on track now. I have bought the "Starting Strength" program from "the Bod" https://thebod.com.au/shop/starting-strength-the-bod/ and ive joined a 24hour gym last night and did day 1. day 2 is a rest day so i will use that to start my c25k…

If this is not willpower, then what is it. It is the will and determination to do x. Willpower is not just related to not doing something but also to actually getting something done. Its the same as calories in calories out. there are many ways to describe it, but in the end it is the same thing. If you want to lose…

as an Australian, i find PB&J to be as offensive to my tastebuds as Americans feel about vegemite
-
what you have described above is exactly what will power is.

if your doign the couch 2 5k program, follow it to the letter, dont run extra to get done quicker or things like that.

So havent checked in for a few days but it hasnt been the greatest couple of days here. After my sons birthday on Monday, my daughter was up all night vomiting so i was on 3 hours sleep tuesday, which threw everything out of whack, wednesday was ok but then last night again up all night vomitting but trying to be good…

Mixed day for me today. 1 I didn't get to stay my c25k like I wanted. Work and stiff just got in the way. 2 I went over goal but was still in deficit for the day. But this isn't bad considering it McDonald's for tea at the request of there birthday boy. 3 wishes myself at the local chemist and came up at 96 when I thought…

Problem want the party. It was working of the rest of the day because I figured I've already indulged earlier may as well give in fit the rest of the day. But tomorrow is a new day and I'm back to it.

My wife had been on a fitness kick for a while now and I've half arsed it every now and then. The other week my 8 year old asked me what I'm doing to lose weight. So time to get my butt into gear

By that theory I can count coke as water. I only count water as water. Anything else I log as food
