Same here. I'm back after having my first child in September. I'm at my pregnancy weight now and working on the next 20. I have joined a Crossfit gym in Northridge and am really enjoying it, even though it is the toughest thing I've ever done! I've signed up for the Great Race of Agoura 5K, which is in March. It's a…

I'm a new mom as well. My son is 4 1/2 months old. I am not nursing but am so busy that I either forget to eat or eat crap! I have started keeping snacks on hand and in the fridge that are healthier so I will eat those instead of chips or whatever else I can find. Some things I always have are hard boiled eggs, Luna bars,…

I see this happen to me. Even though I still weigh in once a week now, I now try to look at an entire month's weight loss to see the bigger picture. It helps keep me motivated to stay on track instead of getting bummed out that I've only lost 1/2 a pound.

I'm not sure where you live, but try going to local farmer's markets to stock up on fresh veggies and fruits for much lower costs that at the grocery store. It's definitely harder to eat better when fast food is so much cheaper. We all feel the pain!

Great thanks!

Just regular baked turkey or chicken. When I add it to my diary, the turkey breast has a ton of sodium in it versus chicken breast.

Now that's my kind of snack! ;) Thanks for all the ideas. I've gotten into a rut with eating the same boring things so these ideas help a ton!

Fantastic job! Such a inspiration for hard work and dedication!

girlsrun is right. if you want to lose the weight and keep it off, you need to eat. If you always are eating less than you should, you will just be wasting your time because once you get to your 'goal' weight and if you start eating like you did before, you'll gain it all back and then some faster than you think.

If you constantly have issues meeting your caloric intake, switch some of your food back to the regular versions. For instance, eat regular yogurt instead of low fat or fat free.

You really don't need to do a cleanse like this because in reality, it's not healthy for you to not eat anything while you are drinking a mixture of water, lemon juice, syrup, and cayenne pepper. You'll lose water weight and muscle while doing it. You aren't getting any nutrients. Try eating fresh fruits and veggies, lean…

Have you taken your measurements? I finally did (after being told many times) and it is very motivating when you don't have a big loss on the scale. Even though muscle and fat technically weight the same (a pound is a pound) muscle doesn't take up as much space as fat does. That's why taking your measurements can be so…

Mine is visible.

I have no advice on slim quick but have you tried changing up your diet or what exercises you are doing? Sometimes all it takes to "jump start" your metabolism again is to change things up for a week. Everyone hits plateaus and they can last for several weeks.

I don't worry too much about the sugar if most of it is from fruits and veggies that I am eating. If it were coming from other sources then it would be a problem.

Drink lots of water, especially when flying. Also when you are drinking alcohol, remember to get some water in there too. It'll help keep you from drinking as much and it'll help prevent a possible hangover too!

Clear out your temptation foods outta your fridge and cabinets. If it's not there, you won't see it and want it. Out of sight, out of mind. It's helped me a ton to keep certain foods out of my cabinet because then I don't think about them when I'm bored and searching the fridge for food.

10 pounds in a month is great! You can't compare yourself to your husband or to anyone else for that matter. Everyone has different metabolisms and different daily schedules (which can throw off workout times or how long you work out for). I would love to lose 10 pounds in a month but I know that it isn't going to happen.…

Last year, my iron levels came back low from my physical and my doctor told me to eat beef at least once a week and to take a multivitamin to help with the levels. Iron supplements can have a lot of different side effects, none of which I want! I will take the burger or steak once a week to help! If your levels are…

Try doing something else besides walking for exercise. Throw in some jogging or even change up where you walk so you have different terrain. Sometimes your body will get use to the same thing each day. It's like you have to add if different things to keep your body in weight loss mode.

I'm in! Sounds like a great way to fit exercise in and work up to longer times. I have the hardest time fitting it in some days

There is no magically drink or pill out there that will make you lose weight and keep it off. Definitely eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and when you think you are hungry, try drinking a glass of water or a cup of tea. You may not be as hungry as you think! Also, keep gum with you and chew on a piece when you're…

Great idea! Thanks for sharing!

Have you taken your measurements? Sometimes you won't notice a loss on the scale but you will notice a loss of inches. That happens when you are losing fat and toning up.
-
What about popcorn? That usually works for me when I want to snack on something. I also will drink hot tea when I know I am not really hungry but just bored.

If it keeps happening, try switching some of your low fat and fat free items (skim milk) to some of the regular items (2% milk).
