I would be aware of the low/no cal artificial sugars. There are animal experiments that show addictive type behaviours. Personally, I'd eliminate them, eat the real thing in the baked goods and see how you are.

Sounds to me like the balance isn't right at the moment. You need to talk to him about what you need. Self care isn't selfish - if you aren't ok the people who love and rely on you won't be ok either. Talk to him and be in no doubt you are entering into a negotiation. He may be reluctant as he'll probably need to pick up…

If your back is already painful on the treadmill it's going to be much worse if you jog outside. I've had problems with my sacro-iliac and had prolapsed disc which I had surgery for. I'd say put more focus in strenghtening your core (pilates etc) which will help support your back and lose a bit more. Obviously it's a…

Weight loss and pilates has really helped. 30 day shred tones up all over (there is a FB page if you want motivation) and insanity looks crazy but effective.

You need to have a talk when you are both feeling calm. Maybe part of her role is being a feeder and she's not sure who she is if she isn't doing this. At the end of the day you need to be clear you're doing it because you want to be alive to see your sons grow and spend your retirement with your wife. Instead of saying…

I've honestly stopped thinking that way.

I think you're confusing weight for self-esteem. Perhaps you thought when I reach xlbs I'll be happy, confident or whatever. I think you need to seek some help from a professional - counsellor perhaps.

If you eat lots of no fat foods with artificial sweetners it can actually create cravings and make you want to binge.

One of you will always have stronger feelings than the other and then disappointment will follow. Also while you're into your ex you're not going to be open to meeting someone who you can have a future with.

I eat 3 meals and they are well spaced. Sometimes if I work in the evening I eat a heavier lunch and sometimes a late snack. I'm more likely to be starving and reach for high fat/sugar food if there is too long a time between meals.

If you actually are having an anxiety response and really need to get away then a bit of hypnotherapy isn't a bad idea.

Agree you're not eating enough.

There is a good topic on here about TDEE and BMR - it will give you the magic number to maintain.

I'd swap things around with your gym/lifting routine.

I'm 5' 5 1/4" and my goal is 150lbs.

I drink half a bottle of wine x 2 per week. I think 1200 is probably too low. Today I burned over 900 cals at the gym - that's my wine calories for the weekend.

Before I kept them. This time I'm getting rid. It's like some kind of get out clause - it shows you expect to be big again. Top rule is never move out of your size again. Thin people gain a few pounds and just loose it again staying in their size. The fat mentality is gain weight and go up a size, feel comfortable, grow to…

Sorry, but it's a personal choice what you choose to eat or not to eat. He's happy as he is - that's a gift. This is your issue not his.

Are you weighing things or just guessing? I weigh everything and use a heart rate monitor so I know what my actual calorie burn is. It works for me even though I drink wine at the weekends and enjoy a couple of squares of dark chocolate.

I wouldn't cut the veggies - at the end of the day you want to create good habits for life and restricting good foods doesn't sit well with me.

As you're only 30 and planning one child it would be a pity to be in pain throughout pregnancy when it should be a truly lovely time in your life. It is hard enough dealing with a newborn when you are feeling well (feeding every 2/3 hours) never mind after months of extreme pain which effects your ability to cope anyway.…

I had a prolapsed disc and had a caudal epidural (were they put steroid into epidural space). This gave me relief for a couple of weeks. Then a short while later I had a mini-discectomy (where they remove all the stuff that leaked out of the disc) in late August. I became pregnant in January and my back was so settled…

Consider hypnotherapy to help you deal with the pain. If you are stressed or anxious you will experience more pain. I had a prolapsed disc so understand being in pain. After surgery and a pregnancy I'm back in the gym. I did pilates with physiotherapists and now do mainstream classes a couple of times a week which really…

I'm veggie too and eat 1200 plus some of my exercise calories. Things like stir fries or eggs and mushrooms fill me up. I always have 3 meals and a snack. I struggle to balance calories if I eat pasta or rice portions or have wine.

Hi, I'm new too. Only been doing this for almost two weeks. My aim is to lose 2 stone, with one stone off by Christmas. I'm well on my way already with 6 lbs the first week.
