  • http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/10/roasted-eggplant-soup/ - Haven't tried this yet but it sounds good! http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/01/rigatoni-with-eggplant-puree/
  • What about... Nuts - walnuts, almonds, etc. Hummus and crackers (or with your carrots!) Sliced turkey with laughing cow swiss cheese Fiber One 90 calorie bars (they have several types but the 140 cal option is too much fiber for me!) Nature Vally Honey and Oats bar
  • You should try Israeli or Pearl Couscous too if you can find it. It is slightly larger and delicious!
  • Just a suggestion, but I would try going with the calorie recommendation that this site gives you. That way you can work your way down to 1200 cal/day (it won't go lower) and maybe you won't burn out. I know for me personally once I'm down that low it gets harder not to "cheat" after a few months. And like Nolachick said,…
  • I've had my polar F6 for 2 years now and I haven't changed the battery yet. I'm guessing my luck will run out soon.
  • How funny, I'm heading out on a 6-7 hour drive tomorrow too :). I'm packing my normal snacks that get me through the work day. - Carrots and Hummus - Fiber One Bar (the new 90 calorie version!) - apple I'm also packing my lunch, just a turkey sandwich or a wrap. Some other ideas are... Quaker Rice cakes (minis), nuts…

  • Have a baked potato and a nice filet and you'll be fine. Enjoy your birthday!!! :)
  • Personally I like Jillian, her message and her methods. I think you're selling yourself short when you say "I'll never be able to look like that no matter what I do." You could have that body...really, I promise you!! If you never do that's ok (it isn't my goal either) but Jillian made a choice at some point in her…
  • Tonight I'm making a light version of chicken piccata. Chicken with lemon juice & capers with some rice or roasted potatoes on the side.
  • Add it to the database and make sure to check off the box that says other users can see it. That way the next person who goes to log it will be able to find your entry.
  • I like Amy's Organic and Cedar Lane the best. Cedar Lane makes a bean burrito that has lots of fiber and protein and is really filling!
  • I've been using the Polar F4 for 2 years now and I haven't had any problems with it. I immediately noticed a difference in my weight loss so I don't think it is inaccurate. I know there are lots of people on the site that have them and I haven't heard any bad reviews. The F6 is nice too though!!
  • Did you go through and customize all of the settings? Age/Weight/Sex ? If so then I'd trust it. I actually burn less than my machine tells me but it can always go the other way. Trust your Polar F6 and remember to eat your exercise calories!!
  • The Polar F4 should come with the chest strap. There are HRMs that don't have chest straps but they aren't as accurate. You should definitely buy it, the F4 is great and a real eyeopener when it comes to how many calroies you're really burning.
  • Here are some things that I bring with me to school and work: * Sandwiches - tuna, chicken or turkey all of these can also be made into low-cal "salads" using light mayo. * Soup - for those days you can make it to a microwave. Or you could carry a thermos. Progresso makes so great low call soups! * Wraps - use pita break…
  • Hey there, former ferret owner here :) I had 8 in total and miss my fuzzies all the time. Here are a few things that might help: Sexing - Pretty easy, does it have a "belly button"? If so, you have yourself a boy (and it's not a belly button!). Boys are bigger than girls (female 1-3lbs male 3-5lbs) but with no comparison…
  • These are some of my favorites... hummus and veggies fat free pudding fiber one bars (great for a chocolate craving!) triscuit and laughing cow cheese Special K multigrain crackers smart pop popcorn Blue diamond 100 calorie almond packs yogurt Edy's yogurt blend ice cream (90 cals for 1/2 a cup!)
  • For all those hummus lovers out there have you tried the Hummus and Fresh Veggies sandwich at Cosi? 397 cals and absolutely delicious! :flowerforyou: http://getcosi.com/menudata.asp?action=display&record=11&display=0&uid=45698
  • cucumbers!
  • I love Tribe hummus. Roasted Red Pepper is my favorite.
  • Damascus Bakeries makes a Flax roll-up that has replaced pitas for my pizzas. I find mine at Costco and it's delish!
  • Hummus is dip made of pureed chickpeas, lemon, sesame tahini, oil, and spices with added flavors such as roasted garlic, roasted red peppers, scallion and dill. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hummus
  • Well I have three people's weddings coming up in the next three months. All of the couples have a registry for each store that is for their shower and their wedding. From a technical standpoint I don't even know how Macy's or Target would handle 2 registries with the same name, date and location...I'm pretty sure their…
  • I love hummus! I'm having some today for my afternoon snack, carrots and roasted red pepper hummus. My favorite brand is Tribe, 2Tbsp 40 cals, 2.5g fat !
  • You aren't deluding yourself you can do it. I think people who think it can't be done are confusing dieting with making a complete lifestyle change. If you are working to change how you think about food and exercise then you can do it and you can keep it off! Good Luck!
  • I usually pop my own popcorn or bring a Fiber One bar. Dove Dark chocolate sounds good though :)
  • I like to marinate mine in a paste of olive oil, fresh thyme, black pepper and salt. If you don't have time for that try sprinkling it with lemon pepper and a little soy sauce or Worcestershire.
  • No because both black team members usually compete (not this week because one guy was at home). I think Ron has some serious health issues that keep him from being able to compete in some of the challenges and requires him to work out differently than the others. He's usually in the gym with them just doing something more…

  • My bet is you'll cut it open and find that it has sprouted inside. Trust me you don't want to eat it if there is sprouting going on. It's very bitter!!
