Gyms can get expensive. If you are concerned about cost ask yourself why you want a gym? Have you looked at "at home" options?

I have 4 Kids and all do at least 2 out of school activities so things can be busy busy, but too busy to cook a meal? Never. In the time it takes to cook rice you can make a decent curry. We never resort to takeaway as "quick" meal. What they said. Crockpot/Slow Cooker. Big advantage is that the meals are usually cheap…

Hardly any space, 30mins a day and it is a good workout regardless of doing it everyday or 4 days a week.

I am sure you will be flooded with varied opinions about what to train together on what days etc etc. So all I can do is give my opinion. Firstly, if you have access to a gym, use it. A female in the weights area is awesome. Not only does it prove she is tough, it also proves she is smart, knowing that lifting is an…

Wow. Super cheap for an adjustable kettlebell. Downunder we are at about $200 for a 32kg adjustable kettlebell.

Garage/Bedroom/Balcony/Yard either or. I do like the idea of a tele for workout vids etc

weight loss is 90%diet. If you want to look good, watch what you eat. If you want to look good naked, watch what you eat and exercise.

Quick answers here, I will keep it simple and not go into detail. 1. Yes you can use it. It is better than nothing but not ideal. Weight machines tend to isolate a body part and force movement a certain way. Free weights are much better. With correct form you have less chance of injury and a movement that will engage many…

Yeah you can. I am 93ish kilos. This morning I did 771cals in 50mins with a reliable HRM, this is usual, yesterday I did over 1000. Sure it was a little over an hour but a component of that was strength training. When I add my cals to diary I do subtract my BMR though so the 771 became 701. Might be worth finding out what…

Pay without asking...YES Offer to pay once she offers to split the bill...yes Insist on paying and make a scene...HELL NO Be traditional, hold open doors, pull out chairs, give flowers but don't be insulting and over the top.

Honestly? YES! (then I would log my time and make sure next time I beat myself)

All kinds of wrong...soooo much wrong. Next time he is working I would wait at the reception desk and point out the creepy freak to everyone who enters the gym, showing them the weird txts. Making a scene about the germ might actually see the owner grow a pair and kick this guy out.

Not a serious road cyclist, but a regular cycle class cyclist and occasional Sunday rider. I love riding, wind in your hair, freedom, all that jazz. Combined with the right diet any activity will help you lose weight. In one 45 minute cycle class I can burn well over 600 cals. Obviously when riding in traffic it is hard to…

Not knowing what model you have. My first thing would be to check the fit of the chest strap, make sure contact is correct. Sometimes some water rubbed on the readers will help. But yes you should be burning much more than that.

Because of the variety of WODs I would really rely on a HRM to be certain.

I don't like cheesecake.

These guys are right, C25K is a great start as it eases you into a style of interval training with a long term goal of endurance running.IT has follow on programs for 8kn, 10km etc. Once complete you can do it again but up your walk/run speeds. HITT is also good or even shorter Tabata (again google it) will see you're…

I know it sounds far fetched, but if you stick with water, (tap or filtered), your tastes will change. I used to love sodas but now I find the taste and the coating it puts in my mouth horrid. Water. Ice water tastes better Tea. Mix up your flavors. Find a good tea house with lots of variety and go and try before you buy.…

"only" 14lbs. That is a great loss and it really shows, keep up the good work and enjoy feeling great

It is hard to isolate a body part for weight loss....that just don't happen. You can do exercises to strengthen arms but visible results will take a while (usually more prominent as fat % drops). Not putting a downer on it at all. A fit healthy body takes a long time and it is well worth pursuing. Best arm exercises are…
