Hello! I'm 26, 5ft 4, currently weighing 170lbs. My main goal at the moment is to get to a healthy BMI of about 144lbs and then think about weight loss for vanity (if it's necessary). I was 150lbs a couple of years ago and I was pretty happy with the way I was then! Add me if you'd like some support and/or to see the…

I used to beat myself up about things like this.. but recently I have a new mental attitude to "forget it and move on". Because it's negative and holding you back! Focus on doing better now! Also, I do find that planning meals is really good. Have you a freezer? You could bulk buy some food and make some meals? This would…

Hi all, I'm Bobbi, f and 26! I'm 5ft4 and currently 170 lbs. My ultimate goal is to get into the normal BMI range which is 144lbs and then take it from there, whether to lose more or just maintain! I'm trying to eat 1500 calories a day (my BMR) and exercise 4 to 5 times a week (c2k and walking) I'm on mfp pretty much…

Moisturize the arm that is darker to retain the colour so it doesn't become patchy from dryness. On the arm that is lighter, put a small amount of fake tan on it. Repeat until is the same colour as other arm. On chest, lightly exfoliate around the lighter spots and apply a small amount of tan. Repeat until even. If all…

I think PMS makes me more susceptible to giving into my cravings because I'm usually tired, cranky and fed up the couple of days before my period. So I'm not really reasonable. If I want something, it takes a lot for me to say no. Usually I'm fairly good at saying no to cravings (preempting by not having bad food in the…

I'm in exactly the same boat. 26lbs overweight. I think if we were to lose a lb a week, it would take 6 months, 1/2 lb each week a year.. I don't know if it would be healthy to lose it at a quicker pace than 6 months to a year, but that's my own personal opinion. Good luck!

Hey! I'm 5ft 3.5/ 4, 170lbs and I try to eat 1200 to 1400 a day (usually closer to 1400). I don't get a lot of exercise in but when I stick to this calorie range consistently I lose weight. When I do incorporate exercise I try to walk lightly jog for about 30-40 minutes. Nothing too vigorous! Hope this helps!

Ya you are probably right... just another dumb myth!

I'm 5ft 4. Currently 170lbs.. Lowest I've been in adult life was when I was 18/19 I fluctuated between 138-142. This year I would love to get to a healthy BMI of 144lbs. Once I've reached that I'm going to reassess how I look, my body fat, clothes sizes etc. But I do have 126 -133 lbs in my head as an ultimate ideal…

I think it's important for us all to remember that we are all different. There is the general things all our bodies do that are the same but a lot of the time one person's body will react completely differently to another persons. Just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it can't happen to someone else. Just…

I think you missed my point. I'm saying that different medications can cause weight gain..but not all of them. Not all contraceptive pills cause weight gain. I was on one for years with no weight gain. I went on a new one for 6 weeks and gained 14lbs with no change in calories in.. I'd definitely agree that the hormone…

Hmmm...this is an interesting topic.. I used to be someone that never believed the contraceptive pill could cause weight gain. I was that girl that would roll their eyes at people saying "it made them gain weight". I had been on the pill for years and never had any weight gain so I couldn't empathize. Then my doctor told…
