1200 is way to low for any adult exercising male. You don't have to go to 2100, but up them from 1200.

Check out Stronglifts or bodybuilding.com for some good routines. If you have a smartphone, there are tons of free workout apps that have built-in regimens...I recommend Jefit. Find which form of cardio that you like doing on non-lifting days and there is your plan. Good luck to you.

I also agree with Jefit (best workout app out) Stronglifts, C25K Meal Idea (neat for healthy recipes) FreeMusic (get any type of music free w/o iTunes) this is a must have! MapMyRun+

I agree, take measurements. And keep going, consistency is key!

^^^^^This times a million.

I recommend taking measurements, it is something that I wish I had done when I started. And you are right, the scale doesn't always reflect your TRUE losses. Keep it up...Insanity is a good program.

Yeah....This will do it...LOL

I rarely get messages with my friend requests. Some interact, some don't...you will see that you will only interact with the same 10-15 on a regular basis anyway. I say go nuts! And you can always go through Dav's profile to pilfer some friends...he's got 3/4's of MFP on lock...LoL.

Running....This can be done anytime, anyplace!

The program incorporates high intensity cardio movements followed by a short rest period, then another high intensity period and so on. Insanity uses a variety of jumps, lunges, body weight exercises etc. There is a lot of vertical and lateral movements. It is tough, but you can go at your own pace until you learn the…

This was my case regarding shin splints...I was significantly heavier when I began running and shins felt horrible. I dd push through and after a while they were a non-factor. Depends on how significant the pain is to you.

Make sure you have proper supplies before going to the gym. If your gym does not supply towels, make sure you bring your own. In addition, ALWAYS check behind yourself when finishing a machine or using a piece of equipment. I have seen countless people lose keys, gloves, water bottles, etc in the gym.

Bump...for good reference

I've noticed too, and I am sure MFP will get an influx of newbies as well. To me this is a good thing! Will everyone stick with it, no, but we all have to start somewhere.

^^^This....or about some potential new MFP pals.... *hangs head*

Hard to say from the description that you have listed....Sounds like you may need to eat more. You are very active, fuel your body!

LOL!!

^^^^^Second FitBeto Strength training is an option, but focus on diet! That is where true weight loss comes from.
-
^^^^This, a lot of people feel that because they've spent money on a device that the device is automatically accurate...that is not always the case. But the main thing is to ensure your diet is in a deficit to continue losing weight.
