Look at the top right of the thread above - there is a star which is just an outline underneeath a bell, star and an asterisk. Click the star outline and it will turn gold. Now it is in your favourites. To open this thread, click on the grey star next to the bell and it will be there to click on to open.

Soya milk, beans, lentils, kale.

I used to late night binge but found if I hold back enough calories, I can indulge in a large bowl of popcorn with a sprinkle of sugar and salt for only 200 calories; filling and satisfying for a late night "non-binge".

Can I ask - was that animal protein that you upped to stop feeling hungry or vegetable and animal? I ask because I often feel the same and thinking of upping my protein, but I don't eat animal produce. Thinking about vegan protein supps although they taste disgusting!

If I could lose 30lbs my yoga and swimming would fly - so why don't I? Simple really isn't it? - just work out what you want most and go for it. Works in theory!

Aim: no snacking after the evening meal (7/7). Only allowing myself 1 Rich Tea biscuit with 1 cup of decaff tea. Late night snacking used to be 4 slices of bread, heavily spread with spread, with peanut butter, an apple, handful of grapes, then about 2 - 4 rice cakes with peanut butter! Me - 0 LNS - 1 (Nov 1)

Hi my name is Carl. I am 55 and my two children have moved on. I am now married but I often feel alone because my partner has stopped being so active and I am left to my own motivation joining activities with new friends. Its hard being self-motivated and I do feel the fear of going out alone to join activities with…

I have a friend who suffers FM and she has found that swimming or even a twenty minute dip in open water all year round helps her to exercise gently by swimming or treading water in the cold water which helps to deaden the pain receptors while moving. The pain relief extends beyond the swim for a while also. It sounds…

Pullups are one of the supplementary exercises I do along with my daily Ashtanga yoga practise as there is plenty of pushing going on in yoga but very limited on pulling movements - helps to keep a balance between the two. Also swimming as that is all pulling the body along in the water. I am using resistance bands as…

I dont think you can. They just drop off the end of your list as you dont use them anymore and you put new foods on that you do use.

- when I decided that more advanced yoga movements would be so much easier if I lost the excess non-active weight.

Soya milk - far higher in protein.

I am male and 5'3". My starting goal was 140, but as I lose towards this first goal I can see that 130 might be more the goal weight I will be happy at.

My cardio is sea swimming so there's too much cold induced adrenaline coursing through my body to get bored!

It is unusual to be on your knees for 30 minutes in one stretch. I think you maybe need to be looking more at a vinyasa flow style of yoga where you are holding postures but also on the move throughout the session. I'm biased of course, but look at Ashtanga Yoga and I believe you will not look back.

Thank you

You can suddenly do an L-sit with little effort and more advanced yoga postures become achievable.

So you get to call "nonsense" on someone just for offering a difference of opinion and not get to be flagged because you're a moderator? Tinyfruitprincess offers vegetable based alternates which are just as valid. Respect to her for holding to her convictions.

20lbs here also. I have a middle-age spread that is physically standing in the way of the yoga I would like to be able to progress in. No more calling it middle-age spread - its got to go!
