Swimming in the sea, walking with my dog, yoga and "street" workouts and working my vegetable garden. I don't workout - I haven't got time!

I don't see what is wrong with a normal boring good old fashioned balanced meal that fits with your calorie targets with a view to losing excess weight gradually. Is it that it is just too boring that people have to jazz things up?

Depends on what you mean by strength. There are those who can lift far more than their own bodyweight, but can't lift their own bodies. There are those who can do amazing bodyweight movements and yoga postures but can't lift much externally.

I've heard you can get by on crisp sandwiches so long as the spread is vegan and the crisps are organic.

It seems every thread on MFP end up with the conclusion CICO; simple. I dont know why anyone bothers posting any more or why I bother reading when I could be doing other far more interesting things - bye!

Private, because it's nobody's business.

- are you starting to wish you never bothered rickyll?!

Go vegan. Problem solved.

Never - I drive well and look after my vehicle.

That saying, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day", most likely originates from a time when most of our days were spent toiling in the fields, tending to livestock or other labours away from anywhere we had access to meals. The majority of us do not live that way any longer so - we can eat when we like so long…

For me - yes, because I am stupid enough to be vegan and if I aim to reach my ideal protein level, the carbs and fats will surely follow, so I aim to reach my protein level and adjust the Cs and Fs accordingly.

Shower - water - towel; job done.

God no - why would I want to do that?

So - every time you deliberately stand on a tack, it hurts - am I right? - do you see where I'm going with this?

Its a bit like spot-reducing; you can't really use yoga to zone in on one particular knot or condition to bring relief because a knot in one place could be a transferred pain because of a misalignment somewhere else down the line, even as far down as the heels or the way the feet line up when you stand or sit. The best…

I have 30, 45 and 90 minute Ashtanga yoga routines that I can use according to available time availability. I can touch on cardio, strength and flexibility in one session and work out any stiffness from sitting at a desk all day.

You can put on a 1lb drinking a mug of coffee.

Hi - 1) How many calories do you eat? I am 5'3" and 170lbs so I am on a reducing plan of 1400 calories a day. 2) What kind of vegan are you? (HCLF, Fruitarian, etc.) Nothing special. I am an ethical vegan and do not see it as being any better or worse than an omnivorous diet; nutritionally speaking. 3) How much weight have…

I don't think it has much to do with self discipline. In the original post the options A and B are less processed foods with more moderate tastes and would take more time to be digested so are less likely to cause cravings for more or energy spikes and troughs, whereas the option C is a leisure food deliberately engineered…

Just log the ingredients you are juicing - you are getting the same amount of calories, minus the fibre - is my amateur answer.

I just walked to work this morning (30 minutes) and it is amazing how much more positive you feel after the walk, compared to before. Sometimes you have to just get out there and do the walk in order to feel good about walking. Presently 170lbs and 5ft 3ins.

So you take the top off a burger (70 calories?) and replace it with feta cheese and bacon? I bet it tastes way better than the bun but it would be way more calories - better eating the bun?
-
Good luck everyone - there are only 4 weeks in January so 4lbs would be a great target to go for - 10 is too steep for me.
-
Smoothies are a better option than juicing in my experience of both. I feel you lose an amount of nutrients in the waste fibre in juicing whereas the whole food gets consumed in smoothies. Sometimes easier to drink than sit and eat.

There are Vegan groups on here but searching is difficult since they improved things. - does anyone have the links to Happy Herbivores or the Vegan groups?
