Stop exercising and just DO STUFF!!!

This thread is for anyone who loves doing things: hiking, biking, swimming, horseback riding, boxing, martial arts, skydiving, I don't care, not "for exercise" but just for the fun of it. Talk about what you're doing, why you're doing it, and the hilarious moments that came from your awesome day. I feel like I burn more calories and lose more weight when I'm smiling and focusing on enjoying myself rather than on weight loss. I'd like to find other free spirits like myself.

I decided to learn to play tennis today. I'm not sure how many calories you burn running around the court and swinging the racket like a baby giraffe trying to walk, and I'm pretty sure I never hit the ball once....but neither did my partner so....I guess we both won? Maybe we both lost......

I ride a bike a lot. I have a 78 Schwinn and a single speed that I ride around town. I have a mountain bike that I ride single track and some endurance stuff on, and a road bike that I do 125 miles a week or so on at 20+ miles per hour. I love riding each of them equally for their own reasons. I ride bikes cause I love it. The calorie burn is just a bonus.

Nature walks! There are some great little trails around here that I really love hitting with the kiddos. We stick to fairly easy trails - they're 5 and 6 - but I really love the opportunity to get them outside and get them moving. We have one particular favorite that's a 2 mile loop of mixed terrain. One day, we'll climb a mountain.

Swimming in the sea, walking with my dog, yoga and "street" workouts and working my vegetable garden. I don't workout - I haven't got time!

Monday we went to Yellowstone for the day. I LOVE hiking in Yellowstone, it's my most favorite way to move. For a bonus burn, I pushed my MIL in her wheelchair up some awesome hills. She worried she was killing me, as I was panting and I told her, no no, this is FUN for me! lol
