How did you do it? Weight lifting???

Fantastic! :)

Welcome! :)

My Aria puts my BBF% higher than what I was calculating with my measurements. Also, my hydration level can affect the Aria measurement as much as 7%. I'm just using it to show trends now. I don't trust it. :'(

I found this article from Livestrong helpful in determining my activity level. Don't know if you've ever worn a pedometer, but the results may surprise you. "Walking and Activity Levels Researchers at Arizona State University have established baseline activity levels based on the number of steps taken each day. People who…

I used to bloat too. I discovered I have a food sensitivity to corn. Start a food journal and indicate not just what you ate, but when you had symptoms. Look for patterns and then try an elimination diet.

Wow! Fantastic! Way to go!!!

That's fantastic!!! Way to go!!! :)

Search "phentermine" on the boards.

What sensitivity is your fitbit set to? I have the flex and I had to put it at "dominant" arm so it would be less sensitive and more accurate.

I make my own beef jerky. It travels well and is fairly filling. :)

I have the same issue. Especially during the work week. I'm not a breakfast person, I get busy and forget lunch and then I can't eat enough at dinner to get my calories high enough. I don't want to go to bed feeling sick/full so I've refused to force it. I don't know how bad it is for us. I like to think I make up for it…

The older I get the more I realize that MOST people are just grown-up children. The ones who actually matured, continue to grow and learn, take personal responsibility, have real integrity and are capable of being loving, supporting people are few and far between. Sad, really.

Same here. My doctor told me that after 3 months (I think that was the number) without a period, it meant that my body hadn't ovulated. Turned out some hormonal stuff was going on. All is well now.

Oh wow! That's good to know!!! Thank you!

Thanks for all the great answers! It feels so strange to eat high fat and my first few days I didn't get enough calories in because of that. I'm "braver" now and I have upped my fat intake though I'm not quite hitting that 75% yet. I think the best I did was 67%. I just wasn't sure if that would keep me from ketosis, but…

You look great! Love that smile! :)

I just started keto on Tuesday (it's Friday now). After 3 days, I've lost 9.3 pounds. I know it's water weight, but my body fat scale did show I lost 0.5 Lbs of fat. I'll take it! LOL. I had been doing lower carb (30%) before, but haven't been that successful. My bad days were wiping out my good. Since I started going…

If you can't get out of a negative situation, then you have to "reframe" it. Change the way you think about it. It's really hard to do, but you have to find something positive about the situation and focus on it.

I don't eat back my exercise calories, but I'd definitely try to hit that 1260 goal. Try to come within 50 calories of it everyday.

What's the best way to support a friend who is about to have the sleeve?

Here's my advice - lose as much weight as you can BEFORE the wedding planning begins. Wedding planning is stressful, but also, it revolves around food. You'll go out to lunch with friends when you shop for the dress (however many times), bridal showers, engagement parties, food tasting, cake tasting, bachelorette parties,…

Were you weighing the proteins? I had learned the fist/palm size portion for protein and boy was I surprised when I started actually weighing it. Turns out what I thought was 4-5oz of chicken was closer to 8-9oz. Yikes!!! :'(

I started wearing a Fitbit Flex today and it is wildly overestimating my steps. I know, because I wore a pedometer November - February and I should have come out at half the amount of steps Fitbit listed for me. I've changed the sensitivity to "dominant" and am hoping that helps, otherwise though, it's going back to the…

Great! I started around 3000 and am breaking 7500 every day now. We'll get it!!! Keep up the good work! :D

I don't normally watch, but I caught the marathon the other day on TLC. What sticks out for me is how many think happiness is contingent on their weight. Yeah, being mobile would probably increase happiness, but ??? I'm thinking specifically of the guy, James (was that his name?). He was engaged to Summer but they broke up…

When I was thin, I could pick anything off a clothing rack and look great in it. I didn't even have to try on bathing suits! Sigh...now I have to search for clothing that hides my fat rolls.

I gain at about 1200 and lose (noticeably) at 950. It seems unfair!!! I've just turned my focus to muscle building also. I'm concentrating on getting plenty of protein. In 2 weeks of weight lifting (5x/week), I lost no weight, but did lose 1.5 inches around my waist. I'll take it!!! Good luck!

I started wearing my pedometer (Omron also) in November. I was shocked to see I averaged 3000 a day. My doctor advised me to work on increasing 10% every two weeks. That hasn't worked for me (I forget), but I am improving. I'm working to break 7500 a day now. Sometimes just focusing on it will help increase it - I try to…

I learned the hard way about Subway too. :( I don't like the flat bread, so to save calories, I just take off a piece of the wheat bread (top or bottom) and fold my sandwich in half. I never feel like Subway puts enough toppings on their sandwiches, so by eliminating some of the bread, it solves that problem too! Win/win!…
