I lifted weights in high school and was in great shape. Here I am, at 35, starting again just two weeks ago. I've lost 1.5 inches around my waist already!!! Woohoo!

I haven't done very well with this either. I try to pick low carb options, like meat and veggies to keep my calories down. Alcohol screws me up every time so I'm cutting way back.

I just ordered this book, "Food Triggers: End your Cravings. Eat Well and Live Better," after seeing someone mention it in a comment of a thread. I'm only a few chapters in, but I hope it will help. Binging sucks! I'm learning that moderation just doesn't work for me. Sad but true (for me). :)

I made chicken jerky today and it turned out great! The recipe called for low sodium soy sauce, but I used Worcestershire sauce instead. That took the salt way down, although two pieces still had 9% of my daily salt intake.

When my doctor put me on a high protein diet, I found I can't meet the goal he set for me without protein powder help. I'm using GNC Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60. It has 280 calories, 60g Protein and 7 Carbs. The vanilla tastes like graham crackers which is okay. I add fruit and vegetables too.
