I wouldn't talk to her about your weight anymore.

I'm sorry!

I don't eat before bed either. A lot of times, I just go read in bed to avoid the temptation of a late night snack. Mostly though, I just remind myself how proud I'll be of myself in the morning if I don't give into the snack urge.

Eggs are good. So is fish. I was surprised by how much protein is in salmon. There are some decent protein shakes out there too.

My husband snacks at night before bed. He can afford to. He used to offer me some of his snack, but I've said "no" so many times that he doesn't offer any more. It works for us.

Smaller plates, smaller portions. Don't serve food at the table, serve from the stove - so you have to get up if you want seconds. I have to make sure to snack often enough that I don't get ravenous. If I start "starving," I end up making bad choices.

Keep making the next "right" decision and your confidence and will power will grow each time. You can do this! :D

Even when I was in great shape, there was always something that I didn't like about my body. You fixate on the things you don't like because you know they are there. Your eyes are just drawn to the "flaws." Other people probably don't even notice it. You look fantastic!

Like some others have suggested, I chew gum. It keeps my mouth occupied, but also, after I spit it out, the spearmint flavor of the gum makes anything else I try to eat taste nasty. Win/win.

I chew gum. :\

I gain a few pounds leading up to my cycle, but once it begins, they drop back off. Sometimes a little extra weight too!

My doctor recommended my ratio and it's individual to my specific medical concerns, but here it is - 55% protein, 15% healthy fats, 30% carbohydrates (no more than 40%).

Mine doesn't change every 10 pounds, it changes 10 pounds from the last time it asked me to update. Does that make sense? Like one time, I was at 9.8 Lbs down, and then my next weigh in was 12 Lbs down - which is when it prompted me to adjust (I'd crossed the 10 pound mark). But, instead of asking me to adjust again at 20…

I do two cheat meals on the weekend - both under 1500 calories. I read it in a Jackie Warner book. It's working for me.

I make bad choices when I'm hungry. I try to snack throughout the day, choosing healthy options with protein (my favorite is cucumber slices and hummus).

I'm confused. Did you just start trying to lose again? Are you 2 weeks in to a new program? I ask because generally there is some water weight loss in the first week or two. If you didn't lose any water weight, are you drinking enough water? Just my thoughts.

Lots of people warned me not to waste money on exercise equipment for my home. They said I would never use it. This summer, I got a great deal buying a friend's treadmill. We got it home and I use it all the time!!! What I love about it is not having to set aside large chunks of time for exercise. I might do half a mile…

My husband works 12 hour shifts and I send him with one "meal" and a bunch of healthy snacks. He divides the meal in half and supplements with the snacks through the day.

Try meditation. It's been very helpful for me in other areas of my life and I think it would work here too.

My personal opinion is that taking excessive amounts of vitamins is a bad idea. You can ask your doctor to order some lab work and they can test your B12 levels. Then, if you are low or deficient, the doctor can advise you on the what/when/how much. Just my thoughts.

Sometimes bloating can be an indicator of a food sensitivity. You can be sensitive to a food without being allergic to it. If it is a constant, recurring problem, after you've tried the suggestions above (like drinking more water), maybe consider an elimination diet.

I chew gum.

10 years is nothing. My husband is 11 years older than me and we are perfect together and very happy. However, in my personal opinion, 23 is too young to settle down. Plus, he is established in his career and it doesn't sound like you are. Just my thoughts.

I gained weight on Paxil. I think the meds effect people differently. What causes gain in one person might not in another person. Weird!?! :grumble:

Me too!

gas???

I can't add anything helpful. Just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what you are going through. Those medications!!! The side effects are horrible - and nobody tells you about them! I hope things get better for you. :flowerforyou:

Are you supposed to grind it or eat it whole?
