According to iifym, including exercise 5 x a week, daily calorie goal is 1525 which is 20% less than tdee. So if I set MFP @ 1100 Cals + 400 Exercise = 1500 Cals per day (1100 Net)

Congratulations! I don't even know you but for some reason I feel immensely proud of you. You are looking great!

I measure at the belly button - which is not the smallest part. I was told to do this because then you always measure at the same place. Then to measure tummy - measure approx 7cm down from the belly button and place measure there - always - and so on. That way you are measuring at the same place every time and your…

I also don't log anything outside of dedicated gym exercise.... except if I'm doing heavy duty labour like cleaning the yacht or sailing. I do log dancing if I go out and decide to shake it up a bit. I don't log any of my vitamins or "pill type" supplements which daily consist of: 1 x Phenadrine Xtreme 6 x Phenadrine Zero…

In 2010 my total cholestrol was 8.3%. My doctor initially sent me to a nutritionist to see if "diet" would help lower it. I trained hard for a year and watched my diet. I went from 77Kgs to 65Kgs and got my cholestrol down to 6.5% - Not enough! You see, it seems like those of us who are genetically pre-disposed to high…

My Mantra: "FOOD IS FUEL" Nothing more, nothing less, just fuel. It's helped me a lot with how I now view food.

This is the most AWESOMEST thing ever. Definately beats my boring excel spread sheets. Thanks!
-
Shame... poor guy.... he wrote this post only after no one had replied to the previous one. Then you and I jumped in and gave it a "bump"
-
Is that what the word "bump" means. I've seen it plenty and had no clue what it meant. I thought it was some sort of "secret handshake" or something.

Joshua, I wish I had some advice but I'm no expert. One thing I might suggest however is to have your thyroid checked. It's a simple blood test. Thyroid can affect our moods, our eating patterns and our cravings.
-
Gosh what happened?
-
Thanks so much for the advice. I have plantar faciitis that is taking so long to heal so I've had to swap out the running for swimming. And yes, I'm taking a protein shake and as soon as the brand I have is finished, will try ON. The store is right by the gym.

I may have to settle for six days on 1 day off one week, and then five days on, 2 days off the next week because of my sailing every other weekend. I can be a little obsessive compulsive and always bite off more than I can chew.... maybe it's time to get sensible!
-
Oh yes.... every gym has those.... and they fart when they lift. Yuck! :grumble:
-
Do you think I should reassess the 12 days on 2 days off option?
-
Thanks a stack Elliot! I will definately take your advice.
-
I think it's a combination of both. I'm going to go heavier. I find the machines the most beneficial for lower body, but free weights for upper body. Gosh there is so much to digest. :ohwell:
-
Thanks for that tip - off to the shops to stock up on parsley.
-
You lucky girl! Mine says I'm shrinking and tries to "show me every night", but I'm so wacked after my workout, I say "thank you dear" roll over and go to visit la la land.
-
Thanks a ton. Yes I'm trying 12 days on 2 days off (because I sail every second weekend so training is out). So I'm doing weights 6 days out of 12 and swimming 6 days out of 12. Then recovering for 2 days. And what a recovery... :drinker: :drinker: I will have a go at the free weights..... just scared of looking like an…
