Yes especially when it disgracefully flops over your jeans like a runny marshmallow. :blushing:

I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one!

Please, please, please get your Doctor's advice before taking St. John's Wort. It has many side effects. And if you do take it, stay out of the sun.
-
Right! I'm going to doll myself up and get Mr MacHottiePants to take some pics. I need to SEE what I don't see, but others see.

Isn't cellulite an indication of our bodies storing toxins?

I quite agree. When I was larger, everything seemed to be large but in proportion. Now the proportions are out of sync. You comment gives me hope. :smooched:

Bulges seem more pronounced on my hips. I'm thinking this could be because I've lost weight on my thighs. Flab on back seems flabbier. Tummy fat is softer and looks a little like something that is melting and is starting to hang. Horrible fatty deposits just above my knee caps. Waist is getting a lovely shape and my butt…

Just last night I was saying to Mr MacHottiePants (my husband) that even though I've lost 13 Lbs and been doing strength training, my body seems to be taking on a strange shape. I wonder if this is normal. I can only assume that some areas respond to the weight loss and strength training faster than others, thus the "odd"…

I am definately in. So far I've lost 13.2 Lbs (6Kg) in 53 days. I'm currently 5Lbs behind where I wanted to be at this stage. I've got 17.7 Lbs to go to reach my goal which is 132.3 Lbs. The date I had set myself to reach this goal was 29 November 2013, but I think I was a little over ambitious. I would be very happy to…

I absolutely needed that! Now I'm ready to start my day!

Honestly, it just takes a while to get used to it. I am so used to it now, I don't have to wear cycling shorts in the gym. I do however, if I am on my bike on the road. It does go away ........... eventually..............
-
You've only got 1Lb to go! That's absolutely awesome!!!!! I battle to train in the late afternoon/evening for some reason. Hats off to you!
-
Yikes! You work at night? You are an inspiration to us all. Seriously, that can't be easy. Well done!
-
I made a HUGE mistake here.... so sorry. Swam yesterday 1750m for 60 minutes. Calories were only 340.

I do far too much cardio at the gym. I love to run but I have Plantar Faciitis (Sp?) at the moment so I swim and do the cross trainer. I do weights too, but not enough. I need to bump up my weight training programme. Been using the machines, but am learning the art of "free weights".
-
Yes me too..... I'm already late for gym. Supposed to be there 20 minutes ago.........
-
That's a nice day! Except the "work" bit.
-
Irish heritage here too. Maiden name: McKeown Born in Zimbabwe now live in South Africa.

I don't usually drink during the week at all; except last night :blushing: . The weekends are a killer for me because I socialize a lot and as I said, being a sailor..... well that speaks for itself.
-
I'm not sure who this question is for, so I'll assume it's for me. I eat "normal" food. Eggs, lean meat, salad, pasta, veggies, fruit and drink beer! :drinker: I do far too much cardio at the gym. I love to run but I have Plantar Faciitis (Sp?) at the moment so I swim and do the cross trainer. I do weights too,…

A girl after my own heart. My favourite activities are sleeping and pubbing (okay I sail too, but that goes hand in hand with the pub after a day out on the water).
-
Now this I've tried... I just find I'm running around like a headless chicken, forgetting things, like.... oh I don't know..... going to gym or eating. I am also the world's worst procrastinator so without structure for me BOOM! and the day is gone.
-
Hectic! The commuting is a killer. It's nice working from home..... but..... I find I can get a little side-tracked with stuff to do around the house.
-
I'm sitting at my computer drinking Beer right now. Ok Ok, I'm in sunny South Africa and it's just gone 16h32. :drinker: :drinker: No dinner for me tonight!:blushing:

I need to make a correction to my earlier reply: :blushing: I've just used my HRM and swam 1750m which took 60 minutes - ave HR 122 - Cal Burn 333 NOT over 400 as I previously stated.
-
Ugh! I'm also suffering with this at the moment. It is so bad that even the eliptical trainer and spinning hurts. I've had to resort to swimming and weight training. I was told to avoid flat shoes and to avoid walking barefoot. Also rolling a tennis ball underneath the affected foot relieves the pain a bit. I love to…
-
Yep. Just being alive for those Kilometres you've walked burns more than 20 Cals. ETA: Check that your batteries in your HRM are not going flat. Worn batteries gives false readings too.
-
Yes, I agree. All of our bodies are different and one just has to figure out what works for you. But don't stress over it. You will get to know what works best for you and what doesn't work over time. Just keep recording what you are doing and tweek it along the way.
-
My HRM only starts calculating Calorie burn when my heart rate reaches 100. It does not calculate if my HR is under 100. This could be why you are getting a false reading. Also make sure that you wet the strap where it crosses the front of your chest to make sure there is proper contact. Have you set your stats, age,…

I did a leisurely swim alternating between Breast Stroke and Freestyle for 60 minutes the other day and burnt 484 Cals. I was wearing my Heart Rate Monitor so I believe it was pretty accurate. The distance in that time was 1 Mile.
