  • Excited for this challenge! SW (challenge): 168.6 CW: 168.6 WL: 0 (starting now) GW (challenge): 150 -- back to pre-pregnancy weight UGW: 125
  • Anyone can feel free to add me. I gained 40lbs with my son and am only 2 weeks post-partum, but I'm still >20lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight and was already over 20lbs above my prior weight when I got pregnant, so I could use some motivation.
  • I'll be starting week 7 day 1 tomorrow if I can get up early enough. I started a new work schedule and it's taking me a while to get used to the earlier start time...
  • I'm probably just going to map out some 5k length runs near my house and work on speed + some weight lifting on the side.
  • I'm here, on week 6 day 2!
  • I finished week 5, day 2 today. I feel like it's getting a little easier now but maybe I should wait until after the 20 minute jog before I proclaim that, lol
  • Week 5 day 2 complete today, on to the 20 minute jog next!
  • Hey, just joined and am on week 5! Today was supposed to be week 5, day 2, but I got pink eye and my eyes were all crusty and disgusting this morning, so we'll be saving that run for tomorrow, lol
  • week 4 day 3 done today
  • great work everyone! I'm in the middle of week 4 and would love to have some more friends working through the program - anyone can feel free to add me:)
  • I just stumbled upon this group and am hoping I can jump in to keep myself accountable. I completed the program a few years back and am now trying to get back into running after a hiatus - today was week 4 day 2 for me. ' Good luck to everyone!
  • A few years back I did c25k and then when I "graduated" I ran a 5k as my morning workout (with some weight lifting too) and just focused on getting faster rather than trying to increase my distance. I did get faster over the next few months, but the best part was that I ended up losing ~60lbs along the way, going from a…
  • I'm pretty lazy when it comes to salads. My "go to" salad is to take a bag of arugula, pre-packaged guacamole and combine. If I want to jazz it up, I'll add some strawberries and sliced almonds.
  • I went to a seder last night and only went over my calories by a little bit because I made sure to watch my portions. I tried everything, but had small amounts of several dishes and really loaded up on some of the lower calorie foods. It probably helped that the person whose house I went to is health conscious so there…

  • It probably depends on the type of class you go to. The heated power yoga place where I go is very fast paced and even when I was very fit, it got my heart rate up. People don't go there for relaxation....it's not the same as the regular yoga classes I went to at my gym which were more about increasing flexibility and…
  • I was spending a lot more money on boxed, pre-packaged foods than I am now even though I'm buying a lot more fresh produce. I definitely agree with one of the previous posters that it is absolutely less convenient to eat healthy, both in the time spent cooking and the time I spend at the the grocery store. I have to go…
  • It is possible. I lost 30-40lbs in that amount of time a few years ago and kept most of it off, but I made a big life change to accomplish that. I went from someone who never exercised at all to working out 5 days per week. I started the couch to 5k program and when I finished the program, I continued to run a 5k as my…
  • I've come to find out that my psoriasis almost completely goes away if I abstain from dairy and gluten and I don't really eat much meat either so you could say that I'm also striving for a gluten-free vegan diet...I'm making small steps toward that at least. Feel free to add me if you like since I'm always looking for new…
  • I'm with a lot of others here in that I don't log vitamins, most spices including fresh garlic and ginger, black coffee, tea, mustard, hot sauce, lemon for my water, etc. A lot of these are <5 calories so I figure why bother. I do plenty of smaller exercises that I don't log either like walking to the grocery store and…
  • Good to know because Hungry for Change keeps coming up in my Netflix recommendations when I login...probably because I watched Vegucated last week:)
  • I've been addicted to their edamame hummus lately. I like to buy nuts, seeds, oats, dried fruit, and frozen vegetables at trader joes. Their almond milk is also almost half the price of that at the regular grocery store here and they have a pretty good reasonably priced cheese selection.
  • Born to Run, it's interesting and will make you want to go for a run, even if you're not a runner:)
  • I would love to participate!
  • I've loved my civic, fuel efficient and have had zero problems with it.

  • I used to have moderate acne and found out that the acne products I was using were actually making it worse due to the harsh chemicals. I started using baby shampoo to wash my face at night and when I wake up and most of my skin issues resolved. Simple and way cheaper than all of the other stuff I was using!
  • I love roasted brussels sprouts too! I made them on Christmas and they were the first dish to be completely gone! All they need is some olive oil and a little salt. Delicious
  • 11/27/2012 - 136.4 12/4/2012 - 137.0, boo :( 12/11/1012 - 12/18/2012 - 12/25/2012 - 1/1/2013 -
  • I'm so excited that I found this group - I love these kinds of challenges because they keep me accountable. A few years ago I went from 175lbs to 120lbs and felt amazing! My high weight was around 200 so I think of this as a gradual process:) I'm back up to the mid-130s now due to poor diet and little exercise, so lets see…
