All women are different. Many women (including myself) don't lose weight until they stop nursing. Have you heard of Bikini Body Mommy? I am doing her workouts and watching my food intake here and am making some progress.

Thanks all! I've read similar and it's a road range. Since I'm a bit overweight I think I could be on the lower end of the extra calories. For the person who commented with 2 month olds, at that stage don't worry about weight loss and eat what you need to have enough energy!

I am EBF my almost 1 year old twins and plan to continue. I set my goal for 2000 calories and am trying to limit carbs. Want to add each other? Twin mommas are awesome. :)

I am curious now and am going to wear my HRM next time I do it. I did it yesterday and based on my heart rate and how I felt I would guess I burned close to 300 calories. I really went hard on the steps though and alternated between stepping, box jump type work, and leg raises.

Awesome! You're doing great!

I understand. I lost over 100lbs and have gained 40 back. It's tough! Feel free to add me if you'd like. I'm 29 and in NY. :)

I noticed when they changed their program to the Points Plus (free fruits, etc.) I had a harder time with it! I just added you. :)

Chips!

Thanks for the additional info. I was reading lots of threads this last week about BMR/TDEE and I think I just started getting into information overload mode!
-
Gotcha. Thanks so much for your help!

Depending on the day per my Fitbit my daily burn fluctuates between 1950 and 2300. So on a less active day I guess if I make my calorie goal 1400, I'd still be in a 500+ deficit.
-
Thanks! When you're saying less the 750, how did you determine that #? Do you happen to know what the TDEE/20% ends up being? Is it more like a half pound loss give or take?

Tandoori Chicken or Chicken Tikka which is my favorite. Chicken Tikka is the same as the tandoori chicken, but just the breast and boneless chunks. I usually get that with a side of raita.

I just finished and started the reintroduction phase. The first week or so is the hardest, but overall it's really life changing and great! Please listen to the advice they give on not weighing for the month and not tracking. Just follow their program. :)

This is a bit ridiculous. It's common sense that if you pour it on your food it's no longer 0 calories. However, I do agree the label should give more details such as the nutrition facts in 1 tablespoon.

I started CrossFit two months before my wedding and it really helped tone my arms.

I saw your post earlier and you've done awesome and look great!

Great job!

I am just under 5'6" and I'm around 178 right now. Usually a size 12 in pants/jeans. Some dresses I can fit a 10 if they run large. I get a lot of tops at LOFT in a M! I hate how all over the place sizing is.

Way to go! You look great! :)

I just got this Electro-Mix stuff to mix into my waters for the summer. I'm hoping that will help. Let's be honest, even at 7 a.m. it's not very cool out! Thanks.

I think it's the heat. I've been doing these work outs for a while now and while they are indeed *kitten*-kickers, I never had that happen before until the temps recently rose! I guess I'll either have to get myself up early enough to go to morning classes or find a place with AC for the summer!

Use the HRM numbers! You should have done a test when you set it up and also entered your age, height, weight, etc. So it will be more accurate for you.

Seems like the 40/30/30 is pretty popular! Thanks all!
-
Thank you for the input! It's good to hear what is working for others!
-
Awesome, thanks! I wish that was available on the site as well! :)

I have been doing CrossFit for a few weeks and I love it. If you're interested in a great workout and learning a lot more about strength training I'd check it out. Most places offer a free class to try and I also see a lot of Groupon deals for a month. :)

Well, you got a lot of replies but I can tell you I searched a long time for a good tasting protein powder. The Whole Foods 365 Whey Protein Vanilla is the best I've found. No chalky aftertaste and tastes great in a smoothie but you can also mix it with milk or almond milk, etc. :)

Does your HRM have a fitness test type thing when you first used it? Did you enter your weight, height, age, etc? I have found the gym machines always over estimate by at least 25%. You know yourself though and if you really doubt you burned 900 you might be right.

I only burned around 180 on 30DS level one with a HRM. It has a lot to do with your fitness level, weight, resting heart rate, etc. :)
