H am 5'8 and suffer from the 'chicken wing' syndrome. I currently burn 1000 kcal a day, five times a week, combining cardio and strenght. I have a slight defined chest, and am not worried about abs. At 49, January, I'm not doing bad. Come this time next year, provided I don't injure myself again, we might be talking :)

My 2nd week, I've walked for a total of 36 hours. I'm having a restday, as my shins are not very happy. I'll estimate how many miles that is at a later date. My goal is 200 miles (:

Gf, if you had asked me to stand or walk for more than an hour a day, I would've complained loudly. Today, I walk and jogg, for hours every day, and lovin' it. My challenge is to move my butt 24 hours a week, and walk 200 miles a month...and no, I'm not on steroids, just healthy food, and plenty of water (;

I like the fact that I don't look my age. People have always commented on my cheekbones, and my bum...and I suppose that'll do.

For optimum endurance, eat Fyffes, and burn 2000 kcal a day like I do :drinker:

3 Pitta bread and a small Korma-65g protein. Too much protein and your liver works overtime. Be kind to your liver, it does a massive job, looking after your body every day. Just saying.

I walked for 24 hours, in the first week of Dec. I aim to do 24 hours every week :)
-
Have walked for 20 hours in the first week of Dec. I estimate that to be around 85 miles...Not as much as I would've liked, as I ended up with blisters, from the new boots. ha ha

In UK, size 14 and 16 is the most common size. I'm a size 18, and struggle to find this size in shops as well as charity shops. I think it would be nice if people donated more of their clothes. If you're conserned about 'spotting' your old fav jeans on a stranger, then donate to a charity out of town. Donating to Red…

Doing 200 miles walking.

walked for about 14 hours last week. I estimate that to be at least 42 miles.

My GP tells me to stay away from dairy, red meat, take aways, and anything fried. I'm allowed no more than 3 eggs a week. Other than this, I eat what I fancy, as long as its not a readymade meal, a fatty/sugary pudding or alcohol.

This is correct.

And watch out for the sun :smokin:

There's a fine line between sanity and insanity. If someone tick me off, I think they genuinely can't help themselves, and I stay well clear of them. The same goes for people who slander and gossip.

Are you 16 or 19?

Nothing wrong with chocolate, once in a while. I start the day with 2 heaped tsp of Cocoa powder with my hot oats. I also have 98 per cent dark ghanaian fair trade chocolate at least once a week. Scientists have nothing but good things to say about chocolate, and I have been eating chocolate every week, since teen years.

Some really bad advice on this thread. Anyway, If you normally eat only 2700 kcal a day, which isn't a lot, you'd be wise to eat the same kcal on rest days. For an adult male 2200 kcal is the minimum recommended for rest days. I am a female and I burn over 3000 kcal a day, so maybe you need to eat a bit more.

Since joining just over 50 days ago, I have turned everything I eat into a game. I am buzzing with enthusiasm, and have probably told every other random person, about MFP, including the chemist, my gp, the nurse, and my dentist. If I loose weight, that'll be a bonus. I am not doing a 'diet', I am making a life change, to…

I do find it strange that your gp suggested ww. My gp just wrote me a list of what foods to avoid. Simple really.

After 50 days of logging food on MFP every day to achieve my 2000 kcal, I have finally made a breaktrough. My body is no longer in need of food every two/three hours. I have not felt hunger for at least a year, as I have been plaged by tremors, and have been in need of urgent food to stabilise my sugar levels. I have been…

None of my friends own a microwave, or was brought up with a microwave. I think generally most households own a microwave, whether they use it or not. I know they are popular in student halls and with the elderly infirm. Generally, I don't think UK people associate microwaves with healthy eating. The supermarkets do…
