So, I concentrate mainly on carbs, potatoes aren't high in carbs, so I eat a lot of pitta bread, tortillas, chapattis, pasta and noodles. Also, by…

Did you get an induction? Have you been to a gym before? I doubt the gym will let you near any of their equipment, if you don't know what you're doing. It's in their interest that you don't cause injury to yourself, or others in the gym. So, I suspect you'll be given an appointment to suit you, for your free induction.…

I'm a size 18, UK. I bought a pair of suit trouser, just before Dec, but I couldn't fasten the button at the waist. Two months later, but with no weight loss, the trousers fit perfectly. I've lost overall 2 ins off my waist and hips, and the scales haven't even moved. I also bought a pair of jeans, size 16, which I hope to…

This is a tricky question. It's how long is a piece of string scenario. I injured my shoulder, last Nov. Was given the option to see a physio, but said no thanks, as I don't trust them. In general, I don't agree with the diagnosis, as being a frozen shoulder. I put it down to wear and tear, which means I just need to learn…

200 kcal for a workout, is what I'd burn, if I walked up a flight of stairs. Are you sure, you have estimated enough?

I make sure I eat my BMR of 1680 kcal a day. I think it is far too low, as I'm not in a coma. Therefore, I add an extra 200 kcal on top for good measure. I'm also very active, and can on some days, burn up to 2000 kcal. Now, this is where the confusion starts. I eat 1800 kcal, and exercise 2000 kcal. That, gives me 2800…
